i absolutely love mayberry, especially since its less than a mile from my home. but restaurants altogether need to pay their employees more. ohio's minimum wage for wait staff is $4.40. why would anyone in their right mind want to be work food service for literal table scraps? no pun intended. and not everyone tips. to be clear, i am 23 and most of my teen years was spent working food service jobs. i have been harassed, stalked, verbally assaulted and screamed at, i have had trash thrown at me over counter tops, and ive had to clean up more vomit and urine than hazmat would ever allow. again, nobody in their right mind would want to be paid less than a fiver an hour to have to deal with that. unemployment is a safety net for sure, but people still wouldnt be stuck in it if our jobs paid us something LIVEABLE.

Pay more!!!! 13$ to be a prep cook and line cook and dish dishwasher everyday and cleaner is ridiculous. Stop taking advantage of us skill hard worker. No wonder nobody wants to work in a restaurant

I don't know anyone who wants to work for minimum wage anymore. I use to be a plumber. I worked 70 hours a week, never going to be poor again after Savin 70% of my paycheck. No one wants to work hard just to barely survive. Sucks to suck.

The cost of living in Toledo is far less than many other parts of the country. That's why having a nationwide extra $600 or even the now $300 per week on top of regular unemployment being paid for people not to work makes absolutely no sense. It should be calculated based on the wages and cost of living for different parts of the country and should never exceed a person's normal wages. I personally know those that received more money not to work, than to work. I also personally know those that had to stay and cover for those employees and had to deal with a higher work load, all while being paid their normal wages. A small part of these businesses not being able to find help is due to people's fear of coming down with COVID-19, but I personally believe the extra unemployment money people are receiving is the main reason.

Where is this located? I have about 3 years server experience and I've worked customer service, at every job, I've had.

The problem is you will have a full time job, and not be able to afford somewhere to live.
