After watching this video, I just now realized at 46 years old that I do not love myself. I just had a relationship crisis involving the behavior you talked about. “Love me and then I will love myself” I do this constantly. I am willing to put in this hard work to heal my inner child and show myself love 🙏 thank you for making a difference in my life

Nobody and not any videos, speech, lessons could give me such clear vision of the wrong function of human belief system that causes many emotional problems in our adulthood. I WISH I knew your channel sooner. I have been suffering a lot through my 53 years of life. Please help me with overcoming my ocd. You are the universe gift to us. 🙏

BELIEF IS A FILTER THAT DETERMINES YOUR DIRECTION
@WuWeiWisdom3 ай бұрын
Hi Steve, You're absolutely right-belief is a powerful filter that shapes our perception and choices. What we believe deeply influences the direction we take in life. By becoming aware of our beliefs and examining whether they align with our true nature, we can ensure that we're navigating our path in a way that reflects our authentic Shen spirit. Kind Regards, David facebook.com/groups/wuweiwisdomcommunity/

You two are awesome! Many thanks for your inspiration. I have just realised that "inspiration" etymologically relates to "spirit" and "spiritual" and it refers to "breathing". To "inspire" is to "breathe in". Now _that_ is insighteful! I love it! ❤

HI David, there are different Forms of Love, in greek, there are 3 forms 1. Agape = Unconditional 2. Fileo = Friendship 3. Eros = erotic Also love is an action, and their is conditional love, that is contingent on ones personal responsibility. This relationship with love unconditionally reflects the unconditional love of a parent that they love you just the way you are! but conditional love says i love you enough to not allow you to remain that way, ( being just as you are) it is a complimentary relationship! UNCONDITIONAL = MASCULINE CONDITIONAL = FEMININE is in place in order for your self improvement

When you say "Love is a feeling" that runs contrary to everything that I learned through religion and what chatter I've observed from life itself. I'm willing to change my mind on this but I've always been under the impression that love is...an "attitudinal position" vs. a "feeling", e.g., "My neighbor does some horrible things, but I will continue to treat him with love because, after all, he is human." Maybe the Western world's word, "love" is just too vague?? What I do know is that since approaching life as you say, that I create my own emotions, I have navigated some situations that would have previously sunk me. ABC vs ACB really works! THANK YOU!!! I'm just struggling with "love".

Thanks for the video. David, in my practice, 2-4 clients out of every 10 have been sexually or physically abused as children and therefore, have a very poor sense of self. Furthermore, some have been neglected badly as children and therefore, have not developed and thus, have a very poor or even no sense of self at all as adults. It is one of the reasons many turn to addictions in order to try and find themselves or just survive as adults. I have been asked questions as to how to try and love something one does not have a solid foundation in terms of a sense of self because of long-term and sometimes systematic abuse suffered during childhood and thus, victims suffer with chronic depression and other mental health issues as adults? One cannot be angry with someone who keeps repeating the same mistakes because it is a survival mechanism developed in childhood.
@TheShackbully3 жыл бұрын
@Francis Joy I recently ended a relationship with a woman that, through her own admission, went through all of those abuses that you mention. Honestly, I went into that relationship because I thought, "I can save her and myself by finally experiencing true love". Well after I was chewed up and spit out by my ignorance of such relationships, I've come to learn that the only person I can save is me. I cannot be angry with her, but we don't need to be in each other's lives...at all. Ever.

I am a survivor of extreme neglect, incest, extreme control, verbal and psychological abuse, I mean you name it.. I wasn't regularly beaten as a child.. that's about it.. really painful young life.. I am a sober alcoholic, I attended ACoA, CoDA, have a lovely and honest therapist, I've been to hell and back and back again.. the story is a long one with many witnesses.. WE CAN HEAL OUR LIVES. let me say it again.. WE CAN HEAL OUR LIVES. Some ways to help people: Stop pleading with them that they have worth.. instead practice with them to identify what has worth for them.. not by telling them but by guiding them to hear themselves.. Help them by guiding them to find out what kindness looks like for them.. there are more kind people in the world than not, encourage them to create points of reference.. begin establishing a Self.. The key to all of this.. "You are not obligated to finish the work not are you free to abandon it".. recognize that there really is no finish line.. commit to the reality that this is work, it is worth it, eventually you'll see you are worth it but for now, just commit to doing these things until it is no longer work but a way of life.. and you keep doing it because it has blessed you with an immeasurable gift: The Act of Self Love with a Self that Loves... in all its humanity.. 1. Talk 2. Listen 3. Practice 4. Talk 5. Listen 6. Practice Wash, rinse, repeat.. Talk with safe others. Listen to safe others. Practice a suggestion. (Really Practice) Talk with yourself. Listen to yourself. Practice with yourself. Wash, rinse, repeat.. Gentle, gentle.. 🙏🏻

Had an insight.. especially when it comes to dismantling the 3 lies.. yes we can look back and understand how these lies became vows.. I thought it was important to mention that there are some people in our lives today who either were our caregivers or our past and current partners, friends, and so on, who may only be able to "create the feelings of love for us in themselves" based on our performing for them or giving them exactly what they want.. knowing that the love other people create in themselves for us may very well be conditional. All the MORE reason to create the feeling of love in and for ourselves.. it also can become self abusive to know this person only creates feelings of love inside for me when I am _________ (fill in the blank), and for me to run around trying to be only that thing/aspect which then the person with this conditional love is able/willing to create love for me inside of them... Doesn't this sound just awful and unnecessary? Oh it does to me!! 🙏🏻 Keep practicing.. Practice makes improvement.. 🙏🏻

Your heart is closed. Can you care for an animal e.g dog as if it the most precious living being on Earth? Dog may help you very well but you need to put an effort to this relationship. Just don’t try with a dog that is loyal to someone else. It will only reinforce lack of love in your life. ❤️💫

Thanks for all your great teachings.. but I have a question. As a person who has not received unconditional/healthy love through childhood, I am not familiar with true love, I have never seen how true love looks like, I do not even have the skills on how to love myself. The word 'love' is only a fantasy for me. How do you describe how to practice or demonstrate self-love? Just by words to ourselves? I am really looking for some practical advice. Also, When I don't know how to show love to myself, how could I even show that to a partner! Maybe you could create a video to expand on this matter. Thanks

Who is in control of me? My subconscious beliefs, which are highly resistant to change, no matter how many affirmations I do. My subconscious rejects them all. I read recently in Psychology Today that affirmations only work on the 20% of people who are naturally optimistic. So what are the rest of us supposed to do?

IF ONE DOES NOT FIRST REGARD HIMSELF AS ONE WHO IS NOT THE FEELING BUT AS ONE WHO HAS THE FEELING, THEN ONE WILL CONTINUALLY SEEK EXTERNALLY WHAT HE IS REQUIRED TO GIVE HIMSELF INTERNALLY. BUT IF ONE REGARDS HIMSELF AS THE FATHER WHO IMPLEMENTS LOVING -KINDNESS AND ACCEPTANCE UPON ONES WOUNDED INNER CHILD, for example if one feels UNLOVED HE IS SURE TO TRANSFORM AND HEAL HIS WOUNDED INNER CHILD BC OF THE LOVE AND ACCEPTANCE IMPARTED WITH INTENTION UPON THE WOUNDED AND UNLOVED FEELING, THAT FEELING TRANSORMS INTO LOVE AND ACCEPTANCE, THAT IS THE POWER OF LOVE! ONE ISSUE AT A TIME.

Hi Steve, You've touched on a profound truth here. When we recognize that we are not our feelings but the ones experiencing them, we gain the ability to nurture our wounded inner child with loving-kindness and acceptance. By offering ourselves the love and understanding we may have sought externally, we can indeed transform those feelings into something positive and powerful. This inner work, done with intention and compassion, is key to resolving issues and aligning with our true Shen spirit. Kind Regards, David facebook.com/groups/wuweiwisdomcommunity/

Thank you very much for your amazing videos. I have had a severe ocd for some years which completely has ruined many chances of my life now I am really tired. I want to heal myself. Is it possible to gain this healing through working of my inner child and if it is positive how? Would you please help me with this problem? I really need it. I would be very grateful for your help. Thank you very much. Meanwhile, the kind of my ocd is disgusting feeling of many things (dirty or ugly )and not being able to forgive myself for my mistakes. I don’t fear of microbes or diseases but hate and disgusting feelings.

And why do people love? Is it not an expression of self-love? I love you because you are like me. I don't love you because you are not like me. So then what happens to those people (like me) for whom there few or no people like? Do we not become social outcasts and pariahs that no one loves? The guru doesn't sit on the mountain top because he is loved and accepted into society, he sits on the mountain top because his intelligence or wisdom has separated him from society in a way that has created an insuperable gulf between him and everyone else. People may admire him, but they will not love him because he is too different. I feel like you're just talking in circles, telling me I need to love myself but never giving me any _reason_ I should. I certainly can't love myself based on how the world or society treats me; I can't love myself based on how my parents and siblings treated me; I can't love myself based on how my peers treated me; I can't love myself based on the qualities that characterize me, because I didn't choose them and would choose completely different characteristics for myself if I could; so on what basis should I love myself? Finally, there's the question of does this get me closer to my goals? Does loving myself get me closer to my goals of being successful, happily married, etc.? Or does it just make me okay with having none of that? Because if it's the latter, maybe I'm better off not loving myself until I have all of those things.

RELATION-SHIP = A VESSEL USED TO RELATE TO OTHERS = YOUR BODY , SOUL AND SPIRIT
@WuWeiWisdom3 ай бұрын
Hi Steve, That's an insightful way to view relationships-as vessels that carry our body, mind, and Shen spirit through the journey of relating to others. How we navigate these vessels, with awareness and intention, determines the quality and depth of our connections. Keeping them balanced and aligned with our true nature ensures that our relationships are harmonious and fulfilling. Kind Regards, David facebook.com/groups/wuweiwisdomcommunity/
