It seems as if your health is back to good. I'm glad to see that. Update on our life. My gallbladder bladder became infected and ruptured. I called an ambulance out to our wilderness campsite and went to the hospital. I had to have an emergency operation. After being released from the hospital and went back to our camp we found out the money we had put up for a camper was stolen. A police was called for us being here and my wife was arrested. So, I'm here now after a major surgery by myself. I had to go back to the hospital because of complications with the surgery last Friday. I'm back at the camp again alone without the ability to work. I have to walk 3 miles to buy food. It took me 2 hrs to get there and back yesterday. I'm resting today. I enjoy watching your videos and have for years now. Your son is growing up before our eyes. I admire how y'all do what you do and would love to come to Germany and visit when our lives improve.

It has to be very satisfying to go out after researching an area and find evidence that proves your findings. Destroying these munitions had to be earth shaking to the people in the area. It’s wonderful to see Eagle Eyes taking such an interest in WW2 history. I bet if you took a metal detector out there, it would go crazy with signal of metal. Great job guys.

What a phenomenal site that you found after the research you and EE did. I’m amazed at your tenacity for finding these incredible sites. All that blown up ordinance you found, just proves that that, was the site. Just an amazing find. The damage to the ordinance you found, shows that it was detonated by sympathetic detonation. A major blast detonated all the ordinance that was stacked around the single bomb. Gary

@gkinla1 2 ай бұрын
The K98 cases that you found had the primers blown out of the case head. This tells me that the powder detonated with the case not in a rifle chamber, backed up by a bolt. Gary

Great job guys! Well done finding those disposal pits! And Kudos to EE for such great research, on just one photo, and, for spotting that first detonator and fuze pocket piece! I can imagine if you took the metal detector into that area, you wouldn't know where to turn. The shrapnel from all the explosions that must have taken place there, would be everywhere for kilometres around. They would certainly have been a sight to see, but I wouldn't want to be the guys filling those pits, day after day. You would never know if there was something just sitting there waiting to go off, just under your feet. Thank you for sharing this amazing location. It is always interesting to see what happened after, the fighting was over! Cheers to you all! Stay safe!

Great research, EE. Yes, to come back in time and to be able to see this intricate part of the German WW2 history. Hard to wrap one's mind around the idea that the German military had over 2000000 kilos of bombs stored in 120 bunkers. Wouldn't that have been something to see. You found several signs of the German activity that transpired there - metal pieces, a bomb detonator, mortar/artillery shell end, German 792 round, 20mm round, shrapnel, etc. That is wonderful that you bring some of those WW2 pieces that you find to a war museum so others can experience a bit of WW2 history. Thank you for taking us there EE and HH. Mission accomplished, EE. :) 💞

I was at a ammo depot in Germany in the 80's. It was used by the allies during the cold war. We would still find WW2 live mortar shells in bombed out bunkers. In one bunker we used for storage. We found potato mashers hidden in the walls. The picture you showed at first. With the buildings next to railroad tracks. We had a few intact. They had tunnels underneath. We would start in one building and come out another builder down the line. The depot still had massive concrete emplacements for anti-aircraft guns. A friend of mine found a luftwaffe helmet. Buried, just enough to stick out of the ground where he tripped over it. We dug it out, and it was in very, very good condition with paint and decals intact. You should have taken your detectors with you.

Wow, it seems as if everywhere you look, there are pieces of the past! It is crazy to think that they just blew up all that ammunition! In today's world, the allies would sell the metal for scrap or take it and pass it on to ally countries! It is surreal to think that those small metal chunks were once part of the nazi's arsenal!! Keep up the fantastic work, and EE, keep finding the relics of the past!❤
