I remember seeing Terry Bolea the first time on Saturday morning wrestling in the late 70s. He was know then as Terry the hulk Bolder. The station I saw pro wrestling on also featured Jerry Lawler, Bill Dundee, and a host of others. Lance Russell was the main commentator. Terry’s career evolved and he later became Hulk Hogan. Obviously he’s had issues in his life, some of them he might have asked for and some probably just came to him like trouble usually does. All I can say is that he will go down as wrestling legend who drastically changed pro wrestling and frankly I don’t think the era he wrestled in will ever be duplicated. The culture we live in today is a rather self righteous and arrogant one, especially if you allow your political side to be seen. Terry did that and Im sure that only made things worse for him with those who can’t stand his hero. It’s really pretty sad, the Hulk Hogan I will remember will always be an Icon.
