I am very pleased with your detail and teaching style. I hope you continue to make more Unreal and Wwise tutorials. Very informative.

Hey scott!! I'm kinda new in Wwise with Unreal, your videos are really really helpfull! I was wondering if you could include two toppics in the future. 1-Make the build with Wwise, I found so many issues with my practice projects and I finally made it but I wish if you could give us a few tips. 2-Explain in detail the integration setting for Wwise "Use Event-Based Packaging". It is SO COOL feature, it creates all events, switches and parameters from Wwise automaticly in Unreal.

Hey thanks a lot David! Great ideas for videos too! You're not the first to ask me to cover Wwise "Use Event-Based Packaging" or WAAPI or whatever it is called so I'll look into it for you. Thanks for the really helpful coment!

Hey David, I couldn’t get my ue to run properly despite having following the instructions step by step. Maybe it’s missing the details on which version of integration should be installed. Im new to this and your comments are 2 years back. But perhaps if you can tell me on which version of wwise and integration are you using, would be very very helpful. Thanks in advance

Hey Scott! Great tutorials. Just followed all your Unreal/Wwise tuts and it helped a lot. I'm only having two issues: 1- When my player jumps from one material to another (let's say wood to grass), the first sound heard when I land on the grass is still the Wood sound. I can see that my print string is saying "Land Grass", which means it's correct so I'm a bit confused. 2- I followed your Reverb zone tutorial and it worked great, but now that I'm done with this 4-part series, my reverb zone isn't working anymore. Please let me know if you can help in any way!

Awesome! Glad to see you back! How would you go about the character walking/jumping/landing in shallow water? I’ve tried using the same principle, but the line trace only finds the surface beneath the water. Also I’ve tried making the line trace look in other directions than down, but it ends up very buggy. Do you have a smart solution to this? Would love a water themed video!

Mmm off the top of my head, maybe we could make trigger areaa that cover all bodies of water. When the player enters the area and the water, we can temporarily disable the system weve set up in this video, and play a splash sound on entry. Then when the player exits we play another splash and re enable our original system. Hope that helps Sol, thanks for the comment!

@@ScottGameSounds thanks for the reply! Ah, that gave me some ideas! The thing I want is to attach “wading through water sounds” to the animation when the character walks in water. And would be even greater if the sounds change depending on how deep the water is that the character is moving through. So I guess I need my blueprint to react to how deep the character is inside the collision box connected to the water. I noticed this while playing The Witcher 3, they have a really great sounding system to pull this thing of, and I want to see if I could design something similar. Gonna see if I can figure something out! Thanks for these series btw, helped me a lot!

Yeah no worries mate. I don't know if there is any water in the 'hour of code' game I've used in these videos but hope they help regardless

Hi Henry, was wondering if I can get access to the game so I can do it myself and try to implement it as well.
@ScottGameSounds2 жыл бұрын
Yes you can Kiran. The game is called 'hour of code'. Its free to download into an empty unreal project on the epic games store. If you watch my first video in the series I talk a bit about how you can download it and follow along.
