About Wyatt: Three years ago Wyatt was just starting out on a soft board and facing his fears of the powerful winter surf for the first time. He has quickly evolved into one of the up and coming talents emerging from Carpinteria, California and embodies the spirit of hard work and stoke pays off. He loves to surf and gets a little better every time he paddles out. Last year was his first year of putting on the contest jersey and he made the finals in just his second event and finished equal 5th in his first NSSA West Coast Championship. Most recently Wyatt stepped up a division and finished in 3rd place in the NSSA U12 Open in double overhead surf at the fabled Steamer Lane in Santa Cruz and was recently featured in Carpinteria Magazine in the story Growing Up Grom. Humble, hungry, and stoked are three words to describe Wyatt.
