The saddest day in metal. That literally ended my metal quest. I now play funk/jazz (I'm a drummer). Metal as a whole lost 50% of musical creativity with his passing in my opinion. Pantera broke the world of hair metal, yet managed to at the same time keep the genre intertwined with music. Now, all I hear is double bass, one note screaming, or a subconscious revert back to hair metal. A few bands have tried to fill their shoes, avenged sevenfold, Chevelle, etc, but while they are great bands they ALL miss the mark horribly. Yes, I expect backlash on this statement. However, I would imagine I'm a little older than most that will see this. In the early 90's, when we would get pumped up to go skate there was sepultura, morbid Angel, bolt thrower, coal chamber, gwar, tons of stuff, but NOONE could get the blood going like Pantera. Pat's breakdown is something people laugh at, but honestly for me its super sad. He is a well respected guitarist in the death metal scene and seeing him like that breaks even the most brutal death metal fans heart. Dimebag is something I always think about when these kinds of topic comes up. The guitar solo to Hard lines sunken cheeks has personally become the saddest solo he have created since on the ending of the Pantera home video number 3 (3 to go), the solo plays in the background while the text more to come is on the screen, written by dimebag himself. And we all know, there would never be more since a couple of years later he sadly got his life stolen by a psychopathic madman.

As a long standing member of the Dallas/Ft Worth music community, I can tell you that Dime was a class act. There's not a person you meet on the scene who doesn't have some cool story about Dime or Vinnie and even though its been years since Vin passed and even longer since Dime's murder, they are still immortalized and revered all over. No matter how big they got, they never forgot about their home scene and up until their deaths, were always just a couple of local boys. Just discovered your channel man, really digging your content and your balance of humor and info! Subscribed!

Now I'm not sure how I should feel shaking hands with Gaahl after a Gaahl's Wyrd show... I mean, it was a friendly gesture, but you could feel he's a serious guy with a strong hand. I definitely wouldn't want to cross path with him in a bad way... anyway, I still shook the hand of the famous Satanic wine connoisseur :D Cool video, some of these I haven't heard of, and are pretty horrible. Only your sarcastic humour took the edge off a little bit, but still... there were some really abhorrent monsters in it. Sometimes dark imagery is not just imagery it seems... It says something about the Norwegian rehabilitation system though that Faust was among the first ones to congratulate to Gaahl for his coming-out... if we can believe it.

I knew Pat O'Brian back in the 90's when he was still with Nevermore. He was such a nice guy, talked to him couple times during summer metal meetings (I think 1996) in germany. Ian forever ruined my enjoyment of lost prophets music. Come back to them every now and then but i'll be honest every time I hear rooftops I still get flashbacks to that Jeff Hardy video package wwe did and I sing it every time. Also ian forever ruined the name lost prophets. The musicians are still in the music scene and actually make music together under a different name obviously. But don't ever expect them to start up the prophets again with a new singer. Sucks because they were one my favorite bands too.

Jaimie is not in music any more. 5 artists deserve our support n love so I still play LP for them. I knew IW and there's alot the public aren't aware of. He doesn't deserve to live after what he did but he's a pawn in a sick game of child abuse with Elites covering their asses n using him and others as a scapegoat. He is dangerous and I hope he's suffering yet his ego is still a huge problem. How any one can brag about being a rock star after what he did with others to babies defies human decency.
