We lost SO many recurring characters from the OG show in this one episode. Dazzler, Moira, Leech, Banshee, Sebastian Shaw....holy! Total bloodbath. Now that the Cable connection's been revealed, Mr. Sinister is one TWISTER dude. He programmed the Jean clone to freakin' name the baby after HiM! Sinister: Nathaniel Essex Cable: Nathan Summers.

2001 would like to hello, welcome to E for Extinction. As someone who read this story, seeing it animated was absolutely incredible. The idea that stories from the comics getting this level of adaptation is honestly unbelievable. Welcome to the real X-Men.

Kinda wish they did age of the apocalypse first, then operation zero tolerance, then e for extinction. They would've had three seasons by themselves if they kept it in order

@chrise8993 X-Men animated series had a two part episode called One Man's Worth that was the direct inspiration for the Age of Apocalypse. Since X-Men 97 is the continuation of that, in a way the already did that story. Actually, now that I'm thinking about it, One Man's Worth was how the piece of Nimrod got left behind and created Bastion in 97, so it's certainly lifted its mark.

18:02 subscribed. 18:52 I am right there with you. I was never into comics but i use to watch the cartoon, collect the cards, play with the toys. By 97 i was in highschool. To have this come back has been a nice full circle moment.

tht last line always gets me....she always loved him n never was able to touch him n at the end of it all she felt him n couldn't feel anything but all the love rush all over her.... its just poetic, amazing writing n it speaks to those tht have relationship issues, ways have love to give but never can feel it in return and so on. just man....😢 "I can't feel you" is so simple and sooooo heavy at the same time

The Morlocks are disfigured mutants, shunned by both humans and normal looking mutants because of their appearance. They've lost hope in humanity and live away from everyone, in the sewers beneath New York City. Magneto gave them an opportunity to live on Genosha, but even there, they decided to live apart from the other mutants by living by the central bay. That is why the rainbow colored hair Morlock said that the X-Men are no friends to the Morlocks, because their spirits were broken a long time ago.

When i first saw this season,i was a little dissapointed with how fast the Madelyn Pryor Arc was handled in episode 3,but then this episode legitimately made my jaw drop. The way they put her in the place of Emma frost in Cyclops's Psychic Affair not only is such a great way of bringing Madelyn back into the Story but it makes the Affair far more complex because for all intents in purposes Cyclops feelings for Madelyn are Real. She is the Mother of Cable and that cant just be forgotten or tossed aside. Also props to Logan for not going after Jean as much as he wants her,he knows that she isnt in the right space atm. I loved the Animation of Nightcrawler Bamfing into Rogue and knocking her into Gambit and he Bamfs again for a Group hug,and man Nightcrawler's Save on Rogue and Magneto was awesome. The music with Ace of Bases was amazing,but The third act was what people wanted You guys to see. Im so glad that after the Drama of Rogue/Gambit and Magneto,as soon as the Sentinels attacked they all put aside their differences and tried to be the Heroes Genosha needed. Magneto "WE WILL NOT LIVE OUR DAYS WONDERING IF WE COULDVE SAVED MORE" Gambit "GAMBIT SEE YOUR BET....AND RAISE IT!!!" And Gambits final moment...ive never been a major fan of his character but i always wanted to see him done justice and my God this episode did that in Spades.

Goddamn this show got so real so fast 😢rip to Gambit ugh he was always my fav X men in the series & his & Rogue’s relationship I loved alot. They went deep with the relationships this ep & Gambit is a real one he never cared that he could touch Rogue or not he loved her for her & he was fine with that
