Honestly? These 2 eps were PERFECT. My only gripe is that I can hear the age for Rogue and Wolverine’s actors and that kind of hurt my immersion a little. Not a skill thing, the actors are just as awesome as they ever were, I can just hear the age. A minor thing overall. They NAILED this show so far. The Storm stuff is setting up to be an excellent character study, and Magneto is AMAZING in this. This old millennial is very, VERY happy.

Uh... Storm's voice is PERFECT. It hasn't changed a bit. Beast's voice aswell. Wolverine and Rogue mght be the slightly shakey ones but they still sound like themselves. And personally, if they had gotten new people for everyone, it wouldn't have mattered to me but I'm glad they got back everyone they could. The new Cyclops voice actor is doing a phenomenal job of sounding like Norm Spencer who orginally played Cyclops put passed away. This show is gonna be awesome. You can see the passion and love in it. And the fact that they're already working on season 2 is beautiful.

In the comics, Sinister made a clone of Jean called Madelyn Pryor, who is the mother of Cable. Also in the comics, Magneto and Rogue *did* have a relationship together. Especially because Magneto is the only person to be able to touch Rogue without her powers activating on him. In the original cartoon, they adapted some of the comic storylines, but obviously with decades and decades of lore and stories, they didn’t adapt them all. They’re simply adapting some more comic-book lore into this new season. That’s all.

It's an excellent 2D/3D blend. But more 2D than 3D. Sometimes you can't even tell because the 2D animation has such fluid and consistent frames that it could look 3D. The artists and animatirs did an amazing job and I see it only getting better.

Madeline Pryor is going to be revealed. I guess that means we're getting more Mr. Sinister and maybe the Inferno storyline. Storm losing her powers happened by Gyrich in the comics and she ends up leading the Morlocks. I don't think the appearance of the Morlocks this episode was coincidence.

The one thing I wish they stayed more true to the original was that they show Cyclops using his powers like he does in the movies. Tapping his visor and emitting the blasts. In the original he didn't. I guess it was their way of linking fans of those two together. I'm lost in any connection between Rogue and Magneto. We'll just have to see what they do with that. That was a huge curve-ball at the end with another Jean.

That scene with Magneto in the sky just spitting facts is one of the greatest marvel moments ever. The speech, the voice acting, the animation, the storyboarding just perfection. And literally hits so close to home for current issues as well. The world is so god damn vast and we make it so small with hatred and prejudice. As someone who identifies as LGBT it's not about asking everyone to LOVE us but at the very least accept that you can share the world with us. The hate is so senseless.

The Magneto Rogue thing is a comic reference. The Trial of Magneto was during the 80's and around that same time Rogue and Magneto were a thing while Magneto was a good guy. Storm losing her powers is a comics story called LifeDeath in the 80's and thats the name of an upcoming episode. It seems we're getting a bunch of 80's and some 90's storylines for this season, and my guess is the finale will usher in adaptations of the 2000's Grant Morrison run. That vision in episode 1 to me is obviously the extinction of Genosha by a Rogue Mastermold that was set up in Gyrichs memories which is the exact event that kicks of Grant Morrisons run on X-men comics in the 2000's.

Yeah, one of the writers for the show apparently had Cyclops as his main in MvC2 and a lot of the stuff we see Cyclops do in the show, like using his beam as a mobility tool, is because it was part of his kit in that game. Great video as always! I loved these first two episodes and can’t wait for more. I am really interested to see what they do with the newest love triangle of Magneto, Rouge, & Gambit. Gambit charging Wolverine’s claws seems similar to when he charges his bo staff. It doesn’t explode, only the thing it comes in contact with explodes. So the staff and claws hold the energy charge and then release it when they come in contact with something. My guess is his claws would’ve eventually exploded if Wolverine hadn’t transferred the energy to Master Mold’s head/neck.

Because while I completely support the mutants 100%, I feel like a lot of the specific dialogue spoken by both magneto and X-Cutioner could be used as some rather convincing anti-mutant arguments that could seemingly hold up. Which would only make it even more interesting to try and argue back against them.

Adamantium is practically indestructible so Gambit’s powers can’t blow it up. However, if the energy went through all of Wolverine’s adamantium skeleton it should have caused serious internal injuries given explosions would have happened inside him.

Wolverine transfer the kinetic energy explode onto MASTER MOLD's neck and it exploded taking his head off clean....Wolverine healed the injury from the explosion as you can see his shirt all ripped off at the end.

The animation is 2d but sometimes they switch to 3d during fight scenes. It’s a pretty common practice

i do want to clarify that (in the directors words) this is full 2d hand-drawn animation, now when it comes to the sentinels i cant say for sure. but yeah this is not using cgi this is hand drawn. they not only have access to disney animators but a secondary studio known as Mirror is also helping animate this show and they are very skilled animators so yeah, there are some scenes where i can see someone thinking its cgi, but there are animators out their that are just that good

The Rogue x Magneto is a thing from the comics I don't think there's even any allusions to it in the OG show. It's also possible that they did in the comics AFTER the show so they just incorporated it cause it add some extra spice to the show.

the one that came to the door was real jean in my opinion because pryor is the one that had a baby with scott that was cable likely when jean came back in the OG series after the phoenix that wasn't 'real jean' i think that's where they are going with this plus, scott and jean have to have the love triangle etc. for drama sake so it would be more drama if that was her replica the whole time other then 'some random replica is coming in'

ok there was a thing between magneto and rogue but ...not the old magneto magneto have had many phases in the comics not alternate version but himself as magneto went through several phases in on phase yes they had a thing. also The trial seems so incomplete without the avengers..the avengers were the one arresting Magneto and The Avengers had a fight against the xmen... that is something that should be shown in the MCU
