One of the best things about this show is that it just feels like it’s a part of the Marvel universe, where it doesn’t have to drop loads of references or have cameos. It’s just like oh look Mutants, no wait Aliens….now magic! It’s very classic marvel, it doesn’t spoon feed you, it just does stuff and then makes you want to research the world.

@@Draliseth I think it’s because random stuff just happens, and rather trying to contextualise it, the show just assumes you know that it’s Marvel where, Aliens, magic and Super heroes exist. So Adversary doesn’t really need to be explained. Where as if this was the movies you know they’d make a back story.

I was almost Dissapointed with how fast the Madelyn Pryor/Goblin Queen story was rushed through and i almost thought she was gonna be gone all season but then seeing how Episode 5 slotted her into the Emma Frost role of Scotts Pyschic Affair not only is so well done but it makes the matter so much more complex. Also,i love how they added element that she is the true mother of Cable and seeing her recognize him before he shifts back through the time portal was such an amazing sequence. This animation style has also been legitimately amazing. I was a big fan of What If's animation style,but this series feels like the best animation to come from any Marvel Product since the amazing Japanese Intros of the original Xmen the Animated Series.

16:26 I think Cable is there to give us hope that will be wrentched away by the season finale. I do think Gambit is dead, I do think Magneto is alive. Madelyn dieing after learning Nathan made it is bitter sweet. Showrunner said (im paraphrasing), this is the Mutants' 9-11. As far as Gambit dieing, Im theorizing him coming back as the Horseman Death. Possibly as a season 2 mystery or mission to bring him back.

If you've ever watched Adventure time they do the same thing in Fiona and Cake. The show has grow with the audience and is very meta within it's self especially if you have watched the entire series it is such a great version of the original show but now that the audience is grown. They had always had pg 13 inside adult jokes and noods but not in this way. It's like as if Adventure Time and Rick and Morty had a baby.

The only thing I don’t like about xmen as a whole, is gambit and rogue love story. Inhibihor collars exist in this universe just like they do in the young justice universe. If they wanted to get it on, just hook rogue up with one. Then take it off once they’re done. It’s so annoyingly frustrating. They don’t have to be this thing of evil. In young justice they’re offered to contain their powers until they can control them. Here they could be used to turn rogues powers off for a human connection 🙄

Inhibitor collars for mutants seem to have negative effects. Even after Rogue and Gambit got married, with the tech advancing, it still gave Rogue a massive headache if I remember right. So they used that time with the collar to BANG

I mean, it has lore that doesn't exist in YJ. They are quite literally meant to degrade you as a mutant, symbols of oppresion. So people not wanting to be associated with it kinda makes sense. And at least in comics, they have negative side effects when wearing them

i think Gambit and Rogues relationship is one of marvels best. i get what you’re saying, but at the same time i like it because the only woman Gambit loves he can’t touch, which in my opinion makes for a good story. on the other hand, Gambit and Rogue touch in the comics, so i’m confused why they can’t in the show, i’ve heard people say it’s cuz Rogue hasn’t fully gained control of her powers yet.

It's honestly ok, it's a weird mesh of 90s dialogue, and silly characters but also trying to be adult and don't forget about adding in cheap overly sexual content to the show too. I really wish we had gotten something like X-Men Evolution( a ton of class, intelligence, still for kids but enjoyable for adults too) and mixed in some Morrison X-Men. Basically better showrunners
