One of the reasons why Evolution is the best X-Men series is that it's the only one where the X-Men feel like a family, with Jean as the older sister that everyone looks up to. Which would have made the next season even sadder because the writers were planning to kill her off at the end of the Dark Phoenix arc.

the first few secs where she is floating with stuff around her.. thats the episode where her Psychic/mental blocks were destroyed because her powers are growing too fast hence after that ep.. she started achieving greater feats because her powers are no longer restrained... unlike in X-Men TAS cartoons her powers there is restrained by psychic blocks all of those times yes the last part when u mentioned Dr Strange that was called Astral Battle.. telepaths are known to be able to do this WITHOUT MAGIC and are one of the best Astral Fighters as well

I have no definitive proof... but when Jean and Xavier "fight" at the end of evolution I interpreted that as the two of them using their telepathic abilities to fight on the "astral plane". Which is basically a different dimension. In the 90s Xmen TAS Xavier mentions the Astral Plane a few times and he battles the shadow king as well as the dark phoenix on this "plane". During those battles he could turn himself into different shapes and sizes using his mind... sorta like what was done in Evolution with Jean and Xavier.

Yeah but X-men evolution did not represent the X-men. It was pretty bad. Felt more for children. I liked the 90s cartoon way better.
