After looking at Betsy's outfit a couple of times i really like It! Also Jean's outfit is everything, she should forget the green dress and start rocking a simplified version of this as her uniform

Can we just get Jean in that outfit going forward, and can someone burn the green mini-skirt whilst she's at the Gala. Loved Monet, Emma and Rogue's outfit too, but I'd chuck Rogue at the top of my list. I loved the commentary though, great video!

I think captain britain's outfit is just Victorian inspired. It has that silhouette on the waist and all the puffiness in the sleeve, skirt, and hair is giving me that vibe of going to a brittish or french ball.

oh yeah, I can see that. Definitely like a modern version of the Victorian. Which is actually very classic Betsy. She always had like an affinity toward old-school European styles. Her night gown in particular 😂

I prefer rachel's original hound costume this new one is doing to much maybe that is the point but sometimes less is more......imo. Really like Storm and Rogue...Emma is pretty good to.

Yeah Rachel's is very attention-grabby. I am so torn between liking it but then also hating it because of how extra it's being. I think Rogue really nailed what it means to be fashionable in a toned-down way.

I wonder if he is gonna do this again for this year’s Gala because this year’s Gala has some very underwhelming options. Or I think a better word would be “too safe”, which even Emma herself has fallen into the trap of, despite her outfit ironically being the most risqué this year but nothing we hadn’t seen before from Emma. Jean has the worst of it because she had three concepts and Marvel went with the safest option that was reminiscent of last years Gala, which is a shame since the other two looked better.

The more I think about it the more I feel like I gave Emma a free pass because of those 3 looks, and that Rogue really is the top spot. A shame about a Cyke though - just because he's a boy scout doesn't mean he's gotta look like one too!

I was dissapponted how every outfit still looks like their usual costume. No one stood out of the box and carried a different color. Emma Frost is the winner for women and Colossus is the winner for men. Kate Pride is the worst female and Professor X is worst male.

Basic M and Jeans costumes better than Storm with the wind and lightning infused cape. Are we looking at the same thing those costumes were not good. Emma though slayed, completely disagree with your placement of Storm even Rachel’s shattered M and Jean, at least don’t be bias

It was heartbreaking for me to place Storm there, but I just couldn't with that bodysuit. The cape was awesome, and the jewelry was spectacular, but the bodysuit was not a serve. I just think M's & Jean's looks overall were more cohesive and interesting from head to toe.

@@GreatXMentations The jewelry for me was what made the bodysuit pop, and of course the costumes would be similar to previous costumes its kind of their style. Jean had a upgraded catsuit similar to one she already wore just like Storm had an upgraded bodysuit. I get your a fan so of course you will place your favs higher. Everything they wore coincides with personal style that is recognizable to them. The winners were Emma and Storm. Rogue at No 1, (throws the computer)

@@delk127 The irony is that my favorite characters out of all of these are Storm and Betsy, so if I was playing favorites then those two would both have been higher. You're right in that most of the designs were homages to previous costumes, but I do think that some were better executed and more elevated than others. In any case, now that Marvel is releasing the other Hellfire outfits it will be interesting to see how they stack up against these initial reveals.

Betsy's outfit feels like a watered down Sailor Moon outfit to me. I don't like it, but I don't hate it either. I hate Cyclops' outfit! It's like an uglier version of his usual look. I HATE Rachel's outfit! I think it's the ugliest take on her hound outfit yet! I LOVE Strom's outfit! She looks like a Goddess. I love how it looks beautiful, references her style, her culture and uses her powers as well! Jean Grey's look is interesting. I just don't like the pieces she has floating around her head to form an X. Monet looks nice, but she's supposed to be a fashionista. I really wanted something special from her. The Penance fascinator is an odd choice since for decades, even thinking about being trapped in the Penance form made her have suicidal thoughts. Monet is my favorite woman in the X-Men, but I wish this look was something more. Angel and Shadowcat look fine. I LOVE Rogue big curly hair! The outfit is really nice, but I wish it was fancier for the superhero MET gala basically. I like the shoes in Emma's fur look, but that's it. I don't care much for her suit jacket outfit. I hate the shoes. I'm pretty meh about the jacket and hat. I think her fringe dress outfit is her best one. I do love the shoes and gloves. The dress is interesting. I hope you do more fashion breakdowns on the other Hellfire Gala looks!

If you knew the refreneces and framing of how some of the heros story was going to develop, youd understand how your list is kinda shit and really doesnt reflect the true creativity and the story telling the art director is doing. Maybe next time do an appriciation post as opposed to making a bias based countdown
