In the comics, Stryker has zero connection to the Weapon Plus / Weapon X Program that gave Wolverine his Adamantium skeleton. Wolverine was also kidnapped into the program in the comics instead of signing up like in this film. Like the film, the process was a success, but instead of escaping right away, Wolverine was run through a series of tests and then placed as the leader of Team X During the Cold War alongside characters like Sabretooth and Maverick. Weapon X erased these memorises, and Wolverine would later escape from the program. In the film, they swapped some things around, like having Logan be a part of Team X, then leaving for a good number of years until coming back to Weapon X, getting his Adamantium skeleton, and escaping right away. In the comics, Sabretooth is not related to Wolverine, so the idea that he's his brother was created for this film, similar to how they made Stryker the one behind Program X in the second film. I personally prefer how it's depicted in the comics, as it feels far less rushed and more natural. This is kind of why Sabretooth and Wolverine never brought up their relationship in the first film as the writers had zero idea that 9 years later they'd be related in the films. Sabretooth was simply a member of Team X and has a long history with Wolverine but not related by blood. Also, the Weapon Plus Program, also known as Weapon X, aimed to create super soldiers inspired by Project Rebirth, which created Captain America. In general, Steve Rogers is often dubbed Weapon l to him being the first Super Solider, while Wolverine is, of course, Weapon X, the tenth Super Solider. For Legal reasons, they couldn't mention Captain America in this film. Logan had a planned cameo in Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) as a German POV (Prisoner of War_ who I assume would've been rescued by Captain America. However, as Fox owns the rights to the X-Men, this plan never went through, so we never got the cameo. Magneto was also meant to show up as a child during the film, but again, it never happened. Wolverine and Captain America have fought side by side during WW2, so it makes so much sense. Cap also helped Wolverine uncover his history during the present day, thanks to both of them being connected by Super Solider programs.

Seen this several times, and it's the first time I noticed: Early in the movie, she puts her hand on Wolverine's shoulder and says "stay in the car", which he doesn't. I thought maybe she has to touch skin, but no, she controls people throughout the movie over clothing. So, either she never tried to control Wolverine, or he is somehow immune. Either case, his love for her is real.

@@Sessisit's because of the creative decision the directors take on both films made it like they're two different people. A lot of people take this movie as a different universe from the main X-men because of the depiction of the characters in it. Even the Deadpool they fight in the end doesn't represent like in the comics. You eventually get to see the real Deadpool in the future (I assume you will react to both the Deadpool movies too as it's still in the X-men/Marvel universe).

Great reaction to an incredibly underrated gem, this movie was a blast to watch in theaters, thank you for reacting to it 🙂. The start of the movie is loosely based on the comics, it is implied that Logan's mom cheated on Logan's dad with the father of Logan's childhood friend. Logan didn't know that his dad wasn't his biological father since he had been raised by him all of his life, he mistakenly kills his biological father in revenge for the killing of the man that raised him. Victor hated his dad and is absolutely delighted Logan killed him, he is even more thrilled to find that his best friend is now his half brother. This movie does a great job of making you both despise Victor and also being mildly sympathetic about his complicated relationship with Logan, given all the things they went through together.
@john992182 ай бұрын
John Howlett (Jame's 'legal' father) once gave Victor one of Jame's many christmas presents as James had many and Victor none at all. Victor always 'loved' John Howlett for that, wished he had John for a father. FYI the character of Victor Creed in this movie is a composite of two characters in the comics [Dog Logan and Victor Creed] but you don't need to know that to enjoy this movied.

James/Logan whichever you choose to call him was born in 1832 and the beginning of the movie takes place in 1845 and then goes through the different times up to when they are executed for killing a superior officer in 1973 and then small-time jump go 1979 and then the rest of the movie takes place in this year. As for James/Logans brother he was in the first X men movie this one and will be in Deadpool 3 which is coming to theaters on July 26th of this year. The guy James/Logan killed when he was a kid was his father and the woman was his mother.

Oh! As a P.S., Deadpool 2 also includes an important spoiler for John Wick (2014), so if you have any plans to watch that, you should do so first.
