There's actually a small secret in the Hardmode RUINS Oblierationation route, if you go back to the place where you met Flowey, you'd see a Knife on the ground. I would recommend grabbing that knife if you're looking for insane damage and changed text

It's actually in hard mode any route... It's Kris's knife.... Becouse it just swaps the time Frisk a Kris fell and it's likely that flowey saw them and taught about Chara so he kidnapped him with the vains and Kris dropped his knife

1:28 It like "FINE, if you won't kill her, then I WILL". I do like it that no one wants to kill Paula but you, so it lets you do more damage on your own, because no one wants to listen to you. Edit: It's like taking matters into your own hands instead of having to relying on your team. For "Red Buster", both you and Susie have to agree on using the spell, If Susie doesn't want to, she won't cast it.

I actually found this out on my first Play through. Because my strategy was attack with kris and defend with the others to get red buster and when I saw I couldn’t use it I went back to the Act menu to use duel heal I saw x slash.

i actually found this out myself in a regular playthrough. i used red buster and attacked with everyone else, then i used red buster again. susie refused, and then i died before being able to try again. luckily it was one of my earlier attempts, so i thought it was rng based like regular fighting, and i tried again. this time i did survive, but when she didnt use red buster again i realized it was a one time thing. luckily i went back to use duel heal and saw x-slash, so after healing i used it and saw how good it was. i was able to win then. (note: it took me hours to win still lol, i started playing at like 4 pm and i won around 1 am. i did take a break which i dont know how long it took, but i did watch a 1:30:00 video in it + more small videos, so probably like 2 hours) EDIT: i did not use rude buster, i never tried it. i didnt think it would work.

also you can boost Rude buster and Red buster with clicking "Z" when its about to hit but its not the same like in deltarune. Rude buster +20 damage with pressing "Z" Red buster +40 damage with pressing "Z"

Chrono trigger had an attack like this, frog/glenn and crono are a great team. To be honest i kinda think toby took various small inspirations for deltarune out of it, like toriel opening the window with kris being presented after leaving the bed at chapter 1 startup

In hardmode, gaster kills you with his blasters in the end. What if you hacked your hp to tank it? Would gaster realize what's going on?

Tried it, the game doesn't acknowledge it, after a while the blasters go away and that's it, like the sans betrayal bones. However, you can interact with the sink which says something along the lines of "you decided to to wash your hands before dying"

Thank you for telling me this secret it was thanks to X-Slash that I managed to finally win the Genocide Fight and that took like 30 tries to actually beat it idk but I kept losing at the near end when Paulia's Hp was close to hit 0 so thank you now I can proceed to Section 3 Underfell

When I played this fight I'm pretty sure Susie didn't use the Red Buster once. She just refused to use it and I then saw the X-Slash in the act menu. I think it's either that the Red Buster is disabled after a certain amount of damage has been dealt to Paula or I just forgot what I was doing at the start of battle. Either way, the X-Slash didn'tmake me think of it as a secret. I think of it more like Kris taking things into his own hands and adding his own special move.

X-Slash has been nerfed in the 3.0 version :( Now it costs 40 TPs, preventing you from using all non QTE attacks at once.
