What's up Justin and Nick. Glad to see you guys going strong here. I've been playing X-wing for years and this has been my favorite channel to come to and see builds and discussions on. Mainly because you talk about why certain things are strong or what can be improved upon. 2.0 has given us plenty to chew on, but I was wondering if you guys have started thinking about your building blocks idea yet for these newer factions. Things like Omega Leader in first edition with Juke and Comm Relay that fit neatly at a certain point cost into an imperial list and was always good bang for the buck. It seems like Ten Numb with Elusive may be one of those things here as I am liking that idea being very efficient. Maybe any other good card combos that are out there can be brought to light in a video. Anyways I have a couple squad ideas I'll be bringing to my LGS Thursday. One Imperial build with a Deci - Defender pairing that seems strong. And a knife-fighting Rebel list that still packs an alpha strike. We recently had a huge tourny out in Toronto Canada and the winner flew this list or something very close Wedge- swarm tactics, s-foils, r2 astromech and hull upgrade Thane Kyrell - predator, hull upgrade, servo s foils Luke - heightened perception, hull upgrade, R2d2, servo s foils, being that it all attacks at initiative 6/7 it hits early and hard

On the FFG website, under quick build lists they added a quick build for every ship in the pdf. Unfortunate that it wasn’t included in the conversion kits, but greatly appreciated nonetheless. The Chewbacca build is unreal. Threat level six, but three crew and two gunners 😂

Garvin needs to keep his actions free to pass out focus tokens, which is why I usually don't equip R5 astromech to him. I usually equip R2 to him which allows him to still pass a focus and regain a shield in the same turn.

Mmm... Love that Interceptor. Right there with you Justin. Along those lines, watched the Coruscant Invitational this weekend and a demonstration of Imperial might. Soontir, Vader and Punishers on top. Imperial List For Review: Vader (70) +FCS (3) +Concussion Missiles (6) +Supernatural Reflexes (12) Inquisitor (40) +FCS (3) +Cluster Missiles (5) +Heightened Perception (3) Inquisitor (40) +FCS (3) +Cluster Missiles (5) +Heightened Perception (3) The idea is to alpha strike with the Inquisitors at I7 with cluster missiles and follow up with Vader's Concussion missile. Hopefully that will deal enough damage to take an enemy ship off the board or to land a few critical hits. FCS keeps everyone locked on if they can get a shot o the next turn too. After that Vader with Supernatural Reflexes is a power house to clean up the end game. (This might be magic Christmas land.) It worked pretty well in my first game with it. More testing to go, but I was wondering what you thought of it.

I don't think initiative bid is all that important. If you can't spend 2-3 points fine, but if there's that one 'card' that pushes a list to it's potential it might be worth it. Anyways, this might be a spicy Imperial build: Major Vynder - Alpha-Class Star Wing 41 Marksmanship 1 Fire-Control System 3 Proton Torpedoes 9 Advanced SLAM 3 Os-1 Arsenal Loadout 0 Ship Total: 57 Sigma Squadron Ace - TIE Phantom 46 Juke 4 Collision Detector 5 Darth Vader 14 Stealth Device 6 Ship Total: 75 Sigma Squadron Ace - TIE Phantom 46 Juke 4 Collision Detector 5 Informant 5 Stealth Device 6 Ship Total: 66 While cloaked it's 5 green dice, out of cloak to shoot and you got juke, and Vader and an informant for a little guesswork on your opponent, And the alpha class with advanced slam 'should' be able to bullseye things since the slam will really help line up a shot.

This Saturday I've flown this list and was quite sucessful with it (i've lost to Luke/Thane/Jake list but the fault was on my horrible deployment and he still lost both Jake and Thane and luke had 2 hp left. Than I've won with Garven(Arc)/Ezra/zeb/sabine all in ties): Wedge (Juke,Prot Torps, R3) Kulbee (Outmanouver, Cybernetics, R4 astro) Benthic Two-Tubes (Perceptive copilot, Jyn Erso, Deadmans Switch, Advanced sensors) 198/200 I really like how it played and I'm curious what are your thoughts on it? And concerning the List with A's in it. I use Jake as this long distance flanker (go as far around as possible and as fast as possible to strike from behind. Also he's also baiting enemy to splitting his forces and go for Jake. One of my friends actually fell for it and i just zoomed 5 forward past him and flanked the rest of his list. Also Arvel cannot shoot rockets into things he's bumping because he is in range 0 and rockets are 1-2...And A wings really need to be as close as possible to be able to do any consistent damage.

4x Red Sq Vet with Crackshot and R2 astro each 50 points - favourite and most flown 2.0 list for me so far. I've won about 8 games lost 3 (one loss was due to weird formation experimentation that didn't work). It's great when one X-Wing gets damaged, just run and regen. If the enemy pursues they have 3 more to contend with. If they switch targets the damaged one can limp back in fully shielded.

Marksmanship doesn't work with hlc because hlc changes crits to hits AFTER the attack dice are rerolled/modified. And I would put normal torps on thane and loose his talent, more chances for his ability to proc.

You're right, I had the marksmanship for range 1, but it didn't trigger that often so I removed it and put protons on Thane(just like you're suggesting) , and it works really good.

Benthic can pass focus to any ship not just his brother. Helps get fully modded shots off, then Jyn is gravy

I actually like chopper and elusive better on Ibitsam on the arc. It works better since the ARC has more red maneuvers to trigger elusive so you can spend it on chopper. And the game ive used Ten Numb he was really solid putting out damage and is surprisingly maneuverable in the close range.

No thank you! I like the deep, murky well of scum and villainy the way it is. I thought once upon a time they might do a smuggler faction and introduce Han, Lando and Dash et al as pre-rebellion joiner options in the scum faction. This was way before the solo movie and the 2.0 announcement though

Hello Mr. Hairy Nick, my only faction I play is rebel. My favorite two ships are the HWK-290 and the E-Wing but my list has problems keeping up with other lists. I can't find any info on KZbin on these two ships and was wondering if you can help explain where I fall short? I'm a new player. Hmmm. If I had to guess I'd say the weak point is the 2 low initiative pilots. I think in a lot of match ups they are going to get out classes by aces. For example, you can field a kitted out Wedge Antilles at a cheaper rate. Based on early speculation, I'd say the high initiative pilots on the E-wing will perform better (Gavin and Coran). You might want to consider re-balancing out the list or trying different ships to try and get access to better performing options.
