Thats how X games have always been. The UI is supposed to represent the ships systems and the holographic (i assume) screens that would actually be on the ship.

Yeah its literally just me sitting outside ofnits gunrange while turrets fire at it cause they have stupid amountd of health and the Large guns the Xenon have do crazy damage

Flak is more effective against small ships.... Bolt just isn't fast enough to shot down the flies. And argon products turret spin speed is the best while terran has the toughest hull for turrets....

In Vanilla you could probably just sick the fighters on it and take it out.

Ever sdince the Explosion damage, having Fighters or even a fleet has become borderline useless. I mean first of all the weapons range of everything is way to short anyways. And even if you build or buy fighters with Torpedo Launchers they still kiss the target. It's so fucking annoying and only proofs how stone age level thinking holds the game back.

Some flak like in battlestar Galactica, not the crap looking flak we have in x4, would look amazing in this game. I really hope eventually there is a mod that comes out to work and look more like real flak with area effect
