The Problem
Carbon rich recirculated exhaust gasses leave deposits within the EGR valve which restrict or damage the EGR valve causing vehicle faults.
The EGR valve on these vehicles is designed to redirect a portion of the vehicles exhaust gases back to the engine through the intake manifold. Carbon rich recirculated exhaust gasses enter the EGR valve before the intake manifold, over time Carbon deposits gather in the EGR valve and can interfere with the operation of the EGR valve flap and can block air flow.
Resulting in reduced fuel economy and vehicle performance. Often this build up damages the EGR valves which are expensive to replace. This malfunction of the valve or blocking of the exhaust port causes Detonation (also known as pinging or spark knock) causing misfiring or rough idle.
Many examples can be found across the internet showing these EGRs completely blocked up with carbon; significantly reducing airflow to the intake.
Our kit allows you to completely remove the EGR system curing these faults for the life of the vehicle.

Ford Mondeo 2.0, 2.2 TDCi with EGR fitted on front of engine.
Ford Puma engines codes ZSD-420, ZSD-422.
Jaguar X Type 2.0d, 2.2d with EGR fitted on front of engine (will not fit DPF models)
Will not fit models that have the EGR fitted to the side or rear of the engine.
Vehicles which utilise a vacuum operated EGR will not normally show a fault code when replaced with our EGR blank. Vehicles with an electronically operated EGR will show a fault code which will need to be mapped out. This is the same for all suppliers of EGR deletes whether stated or not.
This item is for diesel vehicles only not for petrol vehicles.
Our solution
Our kit allows easy replacement of the EGR valve with our improved design part which stops any recirculated exhaust gases entering the intake manifold. Completely removing the EGR system from the vehicle.
Install our completely Stainless Steel EGR blank and eliminate build up in the intake manifold. This allows the engine to breath better which can improve vehicle performance and fuel efficiency. Our EGR blanking kit stops these recirculated exhaust gases entering the intake manifold, eliminating the risk of future build ups.
Our kit is the most comprehensive available including all components required to delete the EGR valve and will fit in the same way as the OEM part. You will receive:
1x Stainless steel EGR tube, precision machined and all constructed from stainless steel, featuring a substantial bead to ensure an air tight seal. Threaded holes to enable easy fitment using OEM screws.
1X vacuum pipe blanking plug with cable tie to secure.
1X cooler blank with high temperature gasket and fasteners allowing you to remove the EGR to EGR cooler tube that often blocks or splits.

This is a completely different EGR valve to that which is on a 2.2. You cannot put a complete blanking plate on a 2.2 because the engine management light will come on. you have to use a blanking plate with a 8-10mm hole for this to work.

I did this and the difference was amazing... Smooth drive and no smoking exhaust. Passed MOT no problem. Delete EGR software from the main computer to get rid of engine manager light as the computer still thinks EGR is faulty as it's not there now.

How do you remove it off the computer and is that a permanent EML fox?

@@rhysmcgreal8786 needs a remap. I found it cheaper and a better fix to fit a cheap, working EGR and just blanked off the exhaust feed pipe. EML has stayed off ever since and EGR looks like it hasn't been tampered with. This kit didn't last 3 months on my car.

This, leave the EGR in place, the replacement pipe is garbage.

@@billwhitmore3852 Buy an OBD reader for £20 to remove the EML when it comes on. That’s what I’ve done and it goes through an MOT test. No other issues.

Hi. I my car is loosing coolant via the EGR unit so I need to do a valve delete. But I also need to bypass the coolant system from the EGR unit itself. Is there any reason I can't do this? (Heat issues/ turbo cooling etc) Thanks in advance

Hi there, As long as you aren't bypassing any components (other than the EGR valve) then this should cause no problems.

@ferkemall A resistor ? where can we find that ? I have this problem, my plate block totally the egr, i dont want to let a hole and circulating gaz ... so after some kilometers, this damn ODB code come :( Please provide us a link with the resistor to simply plug and buy.

I suppose you could clean it up and sell it, and maybe even make a profit. Or maybe for a cleaner look to the engine. Or maybe to prevent carbon chunks from going into the engine. Also, it might make the car lighter, but granted not by much! But if you were doing this for a living, and replacing 10-20 of them a week, removing them and selling them would be a nice profit! Some cars require the EGR to remain on the car though, still opening and closing, to prevent an error. So in that case you might want to remove and clean it, and then put it back on, and just block it off. In my old Peugeot this was the case, the amount of airflow to the engine through the EGR was part of the torque calculation by the computer for the traction control, for how much power to send to each wheel. I think it needed to know the exact air/fuel ratio. So the computer had to know how far the EGR valve was opened, and it would test the valve every time the car started up, and give an engine fault if it wasn't there, which disabled ABS and ESP, and was enough to fail an MOT or NCT. Took me a while to track an ABS fault to the EGR valve! Peugeot dealer wanted to replace my ABS module for €1,200.. I'm sure Peugeot could probably have just put an airflow sensor in front of the EGR valve, or maybe they couldn't because of temperatures or carbon deposits or something. Who knows..

Try driving the same car with and without, the difference was pretty astounding on mine. No smoke, far less turbo lag, smoother running and acceleration. I kept my EGR in place and just blanked it though, the bypass pipe is useless Chinese "steel" and didn't last a few months.

a mechanic told me that the EGR has to be removed from the ECU even if you block it other wise it would go into limp mode, is this true at all?

If it's euro 4 yeah but drill a 10mm hole in the centre of the blanking plate and it will prevent this from hsppening. If it's euro 3 you'll have no problems
