Well, it's pretty RNG because depending on how the AI behaves (both on Malenia and the Sentinels' end), I'm pretty sure it can go way higher if enough of them attack at once rather than hang at the back, or happen to be caught in Waterfowl/Aeonia (and lower if they melt her before that/she misses more of them). Tbh I'm not sure that the maximum possible number can be reached before the game crashes.

Obviously the design is a bit similar but mostly the fact that you also encounter this motherfucker just pacing in a field very early game and get immediately clapped. Well, that's the problem with these types of videos. With the exception of Radahn (who weirdly enough did not appear in this video), the bosses are not programmed to deal with multiple enemies. As it is, there is very much RNG involved since it is up to chance if the boss uses their big move or not. Placidusax could kill literally any number of even boss level enemies if he triggered his laserbreath a single time during the fight...

The thing about Rennala is that the first phase is more a puzzle than an actual fight. I beat her on my second attempt (keep in mind that she was the actual first rune bearer I defeated, not Godrick) but I knew what I was doing. The AI doesn't know what to do, so it takes a long time for them to actually defeat her.

Not completely clear to me, but in her second phase when she blooms again she should, in fact, be the Goddess of Rot, right? So “God Slain” would actually be more appropriate.

Melania's death is purely RNG though. Without that unfortunate stance break timing, she could have defeated as many tree sentinels as you throw at her since every time her HP passes 25% threshold, there is a bloom that can melt everyone it hits and then she regens beyond the threshold again and can trigger another one next.

It's even worse than that. She can ignore stance breaking, it's pure rng that she chose to lose. She only has 80 poise. About every two hit from the tree sentinel should stagger her.

Heroically he puts up a good fight before getting taken out the monster then notices how his friends abandoned him . Ready to get it over with he takes them out as quickly as possible but one survives?! He remembers all of his head friends who he just lost on the battle field and dives head first only to get 1 shot. The end

This video could be interesting but limits can be seen from the very start: there is way too much randomness. Even the more sentinels you add, the more the randomness increases. In the end it's just a waste of time, except for malenia

The Tree Sentinel was my first real introduction to souls bosses, and I will always cherish my first attempts against him

It is nice to see that struggling against this guy isn't unwarranted. He keeps his footing against most bosses throughout the entire game and he's literally one of your first interactions walking out the gate.
