I like what you are doing. Kind of like an auction in reverse. The car gets better and the price goes up. If you don't use the "buy it now" option and are waiting to see how good it gets, then somebody else may come in and snap it up. Good on you.

As stated by MrButtonpresser, this looks like a fantastic beach car... roof racks and a pair of surfboards would look good on it. It might not be that appealing to you, but it has charm... everyone has a sedan dressed as a GS or GT, but this car is in a different league entirely. Well done buddy!

It's a great car, I'm a Ford girl. We don't do bodywork. Jamie (hubby) just fixes brakes, mechanical and electrical and then we pass it on to its forever home for the aesthetics! Charge for all work done plus parts regardless of the going rate for the car and haven't not sold one yet for the asking price. When we've swapped the motors back (got the original 186 redone at JH Southcotts) we're putting our HR wagon up for sale too. Whatever you decide to do with it will be worth it. Good luck

Perfect Wagon for the Birdwood Bash, or the "Sh ** Box Rally" not quite good enough to restore, but Perfect for a fun Family Friendly events. (Don't Demolition Derby it because they are just Crap and 'Snap' awkwardly downwards) and it's too good to derby it obviously.

Soapy steel wool is a most underrated cleaning / polishing tool...I use it for all sorts of things and swear by it. I thought 6k was a bargain...surprised it didn't sell straight away even considering economy / wagon factor.

It would be good if you did fully restore this car back to Brand new condition and then sell it afterwards as the price would shoot right up again. If that was me buying a car in that condition, I'd certainly do it up myself and keep it for years, too. As a pride joy.

I think it really could be a good car. You can't buy a car at the dealers under ten grand, and they won't be as easy to work on as this one, nor have the potential to gain in value. Another couple of grand spent on it should be enough.
