I have HF 1800 inverter and when going to settings it wouldn't change from Ln0 to Ln1 also it wouldn't circle around different settings when I press green button short press when it ON does jump to another setting and press of gray button also only does audible beeps and thats all. Only be able to turn ON and OFF with long press of green button. No error codes

What if on the remote panel is not lighting up at all in my volvo truck???

If the remote panel is not lighting up at all then it is likely not getting power. Please check and reseat the ends of the communication cable. If that does not fix the problem then we suggest you use a voltmeter to check the voltage on the DC terminals of the Freedom HF. From our tech support perspective, the problem is usually at one of these points.

Should i use in my truck for fridge ?

I have 1800 and cannot find any info how to reset it. I downloaded the manual it doesn't tell you how to fix it, just tells you what the codes are. It has two buttons status and select. How can this be such a problem! All the code displays are not what I have. Everytime it gets disconnected because of a storm, I get E03 which it says is an overload, which it is not. if this thing dies I will never get another one.

@@XantrexTechnology I have three times. All i get is disconnect from battery for hours and re-connect. Meanwhile three days now, my food is going bad. There has got to be another product with not so much guess work as to what is wrong.

KAREN MARCIANO try a 2500 from most truck stops. They carry a different brand, and cost less than this 1500 brand. Travel Centers of America, Loves, Petro or Flying J. This 1500 came in my truck but after only 4 days I’m not liking it. More power handling capacity is always better in my opinion. 😊

Can the 1500 model be left on continuously or is it better to turn on as needed? I have a small cooler fridge that I want to leave in but don’t think this 1500 will handle that bc it displayed eo5 and lights went off in truck while the microwave was running. Thanks for the video.

Hello - The runtime of your fridge depends on battery capacity. How big is your battery in terms of amp-hours?

Xantrex truck batteries or inverter? I have 4 truck batteries on my semi. The fridge is a plug in cooler type. Not really a fridge but cooler fridge like. I forgot the name. $150 from a Loves truck stop. It’ll have to check out the name and specs when I get back to my truck.... got it now. It’s the Coleman TE Cooler thermoelectric 40 quart cooler.

Hi Amir, The red light might indicate an over temperature issue and the inverter will shut down to prevent damage to the inverter and protect the battery from being over-discharged. I bought one from a guy who switched to a larger model. He kept the remote. Can I run this inverter, bypassing the remote or wire the black, red, blue green white yellow wires in a pattern?

It depends on the larger model. It could be an XM1800 or perhaps even an HF1800. Its best to contact our tech support at 1 800 670 0707 for assistance.

My freedom hf doesn't work at all. I have power through the maxi fuse and to the inverter itself. But get no lights on the remote it won't do anything. 2020 peterbilt

Hello - It likely has to do with low battery voltage. It is likely that your inverter stops inverting once batteries reach a specific low voltage set as a cut-off point by the truck manufacturer. It may be best to call our tech support 18006700707 for help. Thanks.

One Man's Adventure Yep. I have the exact same one and it did it the first time I used my small microwave after about 2 minutes , then lights went off in the truck so I looked at inverter and it said eo5. I guess it’s not powerful enough for the microwave. I prefer a 3500 plus inverter so there will never be a problem.

The HF is an old model. It is modified sine wave. The XC features pure sine wave output and is equipped with a host of advanced features including lithium ion battery compatibility.
