That Gears of War trailer made many of us grown men tear up haha. Our wives and girlfriends often say how do you not cry at our weddings, birth of kids, big family events, but we tear up to a trailer of a video game 😂

@@XVirtualvortexx Avowed is based on the "Pillars of Eternity" universe, which is an rpg franchise,. Any one who told you that it was a souls like copy, either was pulling your legs or simply didn't had a clue what they were talking about.

Fable is a mixed bag for me. I'm a longtime fan, but knowing this new one is a total reboot, far as anyone can tell, from a new developer, they could pick and choose what they want from the old games and throw anything they don't want or didn't think they had the time or resources to do. The humor is different from before, before it was very Monty Python inspired, very vulgar, the humor in these past two trailers has felt a lot more tame and normal as far as jokes go. At least thus far anyway. They allude to choices, but it almost feels like the game might steer away from being Good and Evil and just being Right or Wrong. And I'm worried about the protagonist. The past two major games we got to choose between a male option and a female option, which was an improvement over the first game and really sells that this is Your Story and you can be what you want. This new one has used the same character for the marketing in two trailers now and the developer refuses to answer anyone that asks if there's an alternate option. I really don't want this to go back to being like the first game without an option.

I feel you, but lionshead made some downright goofy and baffling decisions that were killing the franchise. If they can capture the original magic and treat it with respect, it will be legendary.

@@nightshadehelis9821 I mean yeah, there was a downward trend with each new entry. Part of that I feel was it progressing so far forward in time, another part was just the simplification of everything and just underdelivering on the premise. Like being King/Queen in Fable 3. Lasts all of like 5 minutes. So there's a lot of potential for Playground to do a lot more with the world than Lionhead ever did, I just don't want them to start from the bare minimum like the first Fable did.

XBOX showcase was Awesome, a BIG W, the best show of 2024 ! Every game was great ! Now you know why Sony don't want Microsoft to buy Activision and Bethesda. Now XBOX has all the best games and Studios: Activision + Bethesda + XBOX and the best.... Day 1 on Game Pass !
