I don't think it's so much that it's JUST "bad graphics" because I've never been one of those sticklers for graphics. I think it's just that these games are releasing in 2024/2025 and there is a certain bar for certain genres of games. That bar isn't necessarily hyper-realism by any means but it shouldn't look like it belongs on a platform from 15 years ago either. There is the technology to make games look good and clean and detailed without hyper-realism but, for example, Avowed and Atomfall have no reason to look like they should be on an Xbox 360 with the gameplay doesn't look like anything new or revolutionary or even that compelling.

Also it was pretty straightforward, the thing he got mad about was that he had believed in a fan theory based on a misreading of existing lore really hard and when it was wrong he thought it was a retcon, forgetting it had been a fan theory in the first place. It's like they didn't know what they wanted the story to be since every twist contradicts the last and presents an entirely new version of the story. By the end of the dlc you're left with a story that's nothing at all like what the main game was presenting for most of its length

Honestly the graphics are the only thing I'd really consider dated. When it comes to crpgs it doesn't really play any worse than something like Pillars of Eternity which is way more recent. I guess depending on preference for crpgs or 3rd person action could change your view of how much its aged though.

Dragon Age is a good series and worth a play. The first and third games are great while two is ok. The first is a true CRPG like BG3 while 2 and 3 are more action RPG. Would love to see you play them but BG3 might be better for the channel.

Where in the world does Perfect Dark get off having movement and combat mechanics ripped straight from Mirror's Edge? It was kind of underwhelming to see that reaction to the ESO Anniversary trailer though. I've been playing for nine of those ten years and to see Deebee end up being just another one of those "eLdEr ScRoLlS siX!" people who couldn't care less about ES:O just saps the wind out. I don't even know why it said Bethesda Presents, the game is developed by Zenimax Online Studios.

Dragon Age Origins (first game) is probably one of the best western RPGs out there until BG3 came out. 2nd one was... eh... Inquisition was pretty dope. I'm not sure if I agree with a "suicide squad" type game (as in a band of hunters type thing) but I'm glad the IP isn't dead at least

Even if you play on "easy" you should absolutely play the Metal Gear series, specially since you were a "Play Station fanboy" back then ;) But seriously, those games are amazing even if the oldest ones are dated in graphics. And don't worry about the stealth, I think you'll be fine regardless, those games invite you more to "adapt" instead of being pure stealth (although stealth is the main tool for non-boss encounters) I played most of them back on 2019 and I loved them, I have yet to play the couple I'm still missing though.
