In the older games, Impa typically was an elderly woman. Considering the game seems to be emulating earlier entries like Link's Awakening or a Link to the Past, I find it makes sense they'd have made her older. Heck, really, it was only Ocarina of Time and Skyward Sword which she was anything young... And that's a 50-50 in the latter, lol.

Yeah I found that also... how did I find it? Well I am annoyed at the bit where Aonuma said Link would never talk because he was the protagonist and it would help players identify with the protagonist character in general if they did not talk. I disagreed a lot but only from my personal experience that I could very well identify with various protagonists in games, books, as well as shows and movies. But then again there are always people who identify with side characters and antagonists that are not intended that way... so something is off... not about the characters but with people's media consumption. So Zelda doesn't have proper lines due to her being the protagonist... which means that Link should be talking if we ever see him again in game. But without spoiling anything (played a few hours already) I still very much doubt that.

It's so funny to me whenever people talk about framerates, because I never notice. The game looks fine to me.

Sometimes it's just something you _feel_ rather than _see._ Though depending on _where_ it hits it can be more noticeable. The issue with this game (and the Links Awakening remake) that causes more people to comment on it is that it's normally 60fps, but when it drops it cuts down to 30, rather than just a few frames lower. From what I hear there are certain technical reasons behind it... (not something I can properly explain however). Most issues are just from moving through the open environment, but If you're indoors like in houses or caves then it's fine.

@@kcdavis32 Some people just aren't able to "see" these things (or at least not as easily). But in the case of 60fps, it's also important that you have a display/video that shows it properly too. Like for youtube, you need to make sure the quality is high enough for it to show it in the 1st place. Assuming the video was recorded under those settings, there should be options like 720p60 or 1080p60.

Dee you can sort the echo selection with Y! It has several options like ”most used” and ”last learned”, making the selection a bit better. Anyway, glad you had fun! A new Switch is long overdue, this game should have the visual issues that it does. I had the same. I agree the echo selection could be a lot better, even if its just one control for monsters and one for building items. But glad you're back! Happy to see you having fun with Zelda and Link again!

I've been playing this game just for 6 hours now! Absolutely in love with everything (aside from FPS being a little wonky but I'm fine with it after playing Zelda Tears of the Kingdom)! I think talking to other NPCs might reveal more about Link? Not really too sure, but I do love how he's very mysterious in this incarnation haha. I'd love to have a full on series! Also it's ZELDA ALL CAPS BABY! Also you can press the Y button when in the echoes menu (the LOOOOONG scrolling menu from Tears of the Kingdom lol) to sort between newest echoes, most used and I think another category but I forgot the name lol. Probably most expensive cause they show Tri's triangles (the slots you have for summoning echoes), so the more triangles, then the less echoes you can make overall.

Im liking it. Its fun and i love puzzle games. This is definitely more of a puzzle game than an action game, which is ok. The only downside for me is the selection menu for echoes. I feel like they could have gone with a better system then side scrolling through all of them, and a lot of them are just copies of each other. But it's still fun. I'm glad i bought it.

You can sort the list of echos with Y and it gives you different options for organizing! Still a mess but a bit handy for finding things. Agree with the frame rate… also mine had a weird glitch where I beat the Moblins but the chest didn’t open. Overall fun!! Zelda x Pokemon …I get attached to my echos

Looks like a beautiful, creative, and fun game :) The "Pokemon Battles" here are are nice. You've got some strong Sandshrew there! For reference, in Japanese Tri is トリィ Torii (like "tree") - by the way in case of Phi it's ファイ Fai (not like "fee"). The waypoints here look a bit like the Lumiknolls where the Glow Pikmin in Pikmin 4 have their nests 🙂 (I'm sure Pikmin would be a fun series to try out for you! (They're now all available on the Switch as well)) I'm looking forward to the next Zelda episode!

14:58 Where is Echoes of Wisdom (EOW) located in the chronology? Nintendo haven't given a direct answer yet BUT! I'll tell you where based on sources and what I've played WITHOUT SPOILERS! (🔥Please search the interview typing "gonintendo zelda botw wind waker influence"🔥 aonuma confirm that botw has not relation with Wind waker) In EOW we are in Hyrule, so it's impossible to place it in the Great Sea timeline❌ In this game Ganon appears in his blue pig monster form, just like in the defeated hero timeline, and it seems that the kingdom of Hyrule is very prosperous, therefore EOW would be located between Zelda Triforce Heroes and Zelda 1 NES. leaving the defeated hero chronology in this order Ocarina of time >>> A Link to the past >>> Link's awakening >>> the Oracles saga >>> A Link between worlds > triforce heroes >>> ✅ECHOES OF WISDOM✅ >>> Zelda I & II nes >>> Breath of the wild > Tears of the kingdom Between Zelda 2 and BotW, the defeated hero's timeline gives way to a new timeline where Age of Calamity is located.

Slow burner this. Stick with it. You'll absolutely love it once hyrule opens up properly and you can learn all the echoes to do everything the deebee way. First 2/3 hours are quite slow paced but boy it gets good. Almost too good for a 2d zelda

You can charge the bow for a triple shot, or charge the bombs to make them bombchus. That is awesome in and of itself, especially since this game starts where Link's Adventure usually ends. I'm just imagining how much work he had to go through.
