I feel your pain, did SMC mods on prototype PCBs myself- and a steady hand and good eyesight is a must... (actually much of the time I used a 50x bino microscope) with a 0.5mm soldering tip for 'custom wiring' like that- not fun... (especially when the PCB manufacturer made a mistake and I had to mod over a hundred boards to make them work... cut tracks, add links and test every single one, one mistake was big $$$)

New or different content works, since people who watch are inclined to be DIY. I am a long time viewer, before the shed build! However, please keep up the battery work since its an important niche - Idea > maybe you could feature how to source batteries and testing of that stock? I came here to learn especially integration of BMS and testing and construction of safe cells and packs. If you could partner with a wholesaler or at least have a working relationship obtain free stock for your review,? Advice would be helpful for me and others interested in building packs / walls. At worse could you offer an opinion on what cells or used packs that could be useful in future projects? Sourcing batteries are confusing because stock changes all the time - your guidance would be important! This is a great channel thanks for the content! BTW, I'm interested in building water cooled packs from old autos - for my RV - If your soldering maybe a cheap USB microscope on a flex stand would be helpful? Don't worry about the haters - if you produce content it goes with the job! Cheers!

not needed, they are SOOO small & have no weight to them so they won't move around. Here is hoping I can find a good supplier for them and just change it back out to standard.

Should check the voltage to the HDMI chip, because if it's missing it must be the boast converter IC, ie, saves time not doing the HDMI IC. TheCod3r sells console chips.

i've not watched the video so sory if i'm repeating something but be cautios when ordering Encoder chips on Aliexpress, i've heard theirs a fair bit of fakes out their that won't work for one reason or another(one reason passably being rebranding a completely different chip but that's just a guess). Also another thing worth noteing is that the Encoders on Series S and Xs seem to be a common failure point so if you want to ensure the console doesn't fail shortly after replacing the Encoder i'd look for some Brand New Encoders but again watch out for fakes, unfortunatly IDK how to identify fakes yet before trying them.
@HBPowerwall10 ай бұрын
i've changed only 2 encoders out of many hundreds of jobs, both from ali and worked fine (so far)

Hello, i see your video and i think try your method. Do you ever see this xbox series x, we have an electrical shut down and when power back at home this xbox just never put display on tv. Console power up and 30 or 40 sec after she's power off. Not possible to hard reset too. I try her many tv and nothing to do.
