I have the same winch a couple years older with a steel cable. I also wonder where the red wire goes to.

Thanks for the comment. The red wire is power. I have a fix for my problem I just have to find time to do it and film it.

I searched online and the red is supposed to Go to the Ignition switch.

@@carebare4U2 Yes. My understanding is by connecting it to ignition power it prevents any potential for passive power draw.

I watched your video to learn how to connect the rocker switch. Everything I learned from your video, I knew. So I basically wasted my time.

Thank you for wasting your time with me. Since the video I learned that the red wire should be connected to switch or ignition power. I have a solution I just haven’t had time to film it. Sorry you were disappointed.
