Yeesh this is now the THIRD expansion in a row where the final MSQ dungeon involves fighting your way through a simulation of past civilizations... CS3 really loves that trope for some reason

​@Zephhi At this point, we have to accept that this is the story CS3 wants to tell. FFXIV is a theme park with ever increasing references to the other games in the series, in the form of dead or dying civilizations in alternate dimensions. The narrative in Endwalker showing that there are more worlds out there but the Source and it's reflections are actually the last ones alive just hammers home that this is the universe's "FINAL fantasy." I think people just need to understand that while CS3 can play more with the narrative structure, this is what they want the game to be about.
