Nice looking game! Love it that developers are keeping the old systems alive. Love it! The fact that the game is actually difficult is great. It really feels like a proper classic game. Good luck with the game long term, and hope it proves itself as a great MVS title in the long term!

Yea I was a little frustrated I couldn’t get pass the boss but I’ll keep playing. Can’t be hard to work out the patterns. It’s very cool you can get new arcade games today at a reasonable price too. Thanks for watching

Glad you managed to get a copy and they sorted out a code Alex, how cool is it to be playing it in a cab! I love this game, often imagined a custom built dedicated cab like Joe Szabo did for Cuphead, would be awesome 😎

Yea you could quite easily make a dedicated cab of this game with all the art would be cool. I’ve never played cuphead Think it’s because I’ve been waiting for a physical release for the switch and there hasn’t been one.

Huge fan of xenocrisis, played the megadrive version loads. Looks awesome in the arcade machine mate, definitely a worthy addition to the collection 🥰

Yea it’s definitely nice to have in a arcade machine even though I’m sure it’s a lot harder. I’ll keep stabbing away at it, there’s got to be a pattern to that boss.

I play this on the Evercade VS. It's a great game & easily one of my favourites on the system. Looks good on a arcade cab & that music deserves to be playing on a cab

I’ve been meaning to pick this one up for the Switch physical, as I missed the limited sale while I was away. But it’s on my list. I was a big fan of Smash TV + Total Carnage on the snes and this looks like a very similar setup and play. Awesome vid as usual Alex 👍 keep on gaming! GG

Yea the md version is awesome. This would have been better twin stick in my opinion but I guess I’ll have to just get used to it. Great game though.

This game has been on my 'to get list' for a long time. I'll probably pick it up for the PS4 or Dreamcast. Used to love Super Smash TV on the SNES (and still do), so this will be right up my street. I know it's apparently no easy game mind, haha!

Yea it’s very similar to smash tv now you mention it. It is hard but only the boss so far. Need to work out a attack pattern.

I'd like to see them release a SNES version of this some day. I'm thinking the developer is not a fan of the SNES though. I recall asking on Twitter about a SNES release and he said the SNES wasn't powerful enough. Too bad. It would be perfect for the 4 button diamond setup, as seen with Super Smash TV, and they could add some nice sounds with 32 or 64Mbit of rom. Maybe even throw in a Mode 7 bonus level... I'm thinking a side scrolling shooter level or something. I already bought the Vita and PS4 versions, but I'd buy it again, why not? :)

Yea i find that hard to believe the snes is not powerful enough. I think it’s more a case it’s a very difficult system to develop for, who knows 🤷‍♂️ Great game but boy is it hard.

It's a Mega Drive game with graphics that run at 320 X 224. Aside from the SNES's weaker CPU the graphics would need to be entirely redrawn for the SNES's lower resolution. Also the music is pure Mega Drive YM2612 + PSG and would also need rewriting completely for the SNES's sample based audio chip. I can totally understand the idea of a SNES port being laughed out of the room.

Maybe they can hire on some people who are familiar with SNES programming to take it on. They could even use the newly resized graphics for a PC Engine / TG16 port, if they ever wanted to hit those markets as well. They would definitely have to take advantage of the SNES' strengths of higher on-screen color count, higher quality PCM voice / wave table synth, maybe some Mode 7, to make it worthwhile.

The Bitmap bureau guys are class, they priced the MVS cart very reasonably too unlike NGDev 🤣 I went for the Sega MD version and preordered the MVS cart, even though they had delays and issues with the MVS version they did a good job with updates so you knew they would deliver. Such a great game to stick in the cab during parties, you definitely need to master the roll to get far 🤣 Great stuff Alex 👍

Yea it’s strange cus I’ve never had to use all the buttons at the same time on the lordsvale before and I’m not used to the layout of them. It was only the boss that was given me trouble though. Hopefully I can work out it’s attacking pattern and finish him.

I’m not sure mate I think my lordsvale is mono even though it’s got two speakers. I’ve heard there is a mod to make it stereo but don’t know whether the game is ?

Good game, have it on the vita and Evercade. Only wish it had unlimited ammo like smash tv and robotron. Would make it an all out shooter and a much better game in my opinion

That end of level boss is ridiculous. Half the size of the screen and the bullet spray is super fast. Back in the day that would be a 20p-muncher.
