μ is molarity or number of moles? It is given as number of moles of gas in NCERT book. If equation PV=μRT μ is no of moles and molarity can be obtained by P=(μ/V)RT where molarity is = no of moles/Volume of gas..

@solidworkstutorials27584 жыл бұрын
it was all well. I have few questions 1) You said in the very beginning of the video that our piston/cylinder is at temperature T2. When it is placed at source T1, its tempertaure changes to T1 and volume incresaes. Ok. But in the last process 4 (Adiabatic Cmpression), You said that we compressed the gas and its emeraure hngs o T1, its starting temperature. My uestion is if it is come t empertaure T1, why do we need source to increase temperature to T1? 2)

Sir, please entertain this doubt. From the graph for step 3 we can see that the decrease in volume is much more than increase in pressure. So according to the equation PV=nRT the P factor should rise less as compared to decrease in the volume hence the value of expression should decrease which also means that there is a decrease in temperature instead of increase. Please explain why there is an increase in temperature?
@jhashwetavibhuti9 жыл бұрын
sir if we compress gas its volume decrease Charles said that volume depends on temperature. why the temperature increases when we compress it?
@vamsikrishnaduggirala84419 жыл бұрын
+shwetavibhuti jha please don't forget the parameter "pressure".... volume depends on temperature only when pressure is constant... but if we compress the gas the pressure increases so that the temperature also increases.... hope you got my point my friend....
