The reality is : Western countries have established a poverty alleviation project since 1960s, which gave free money to help poor countries alleviate their poverty. Many poor countries received those monies beginning in 1960. China was very poor in those years but China chose not to receive Western aid. After 1980s. China changed its policy and began to receive free money to alleviate her poverty. Besides free money, China loaned a lot of Western money after the 1980s. Besides loans, China also received a lot of Western technologies to help alleviate her poverty. Is the washing machine displayed in the video a Western technology? Or, is it an invention by Xi's party?

This is very touching. What an amazing leader. He is like a wise and kind grandfather who genuinely cares for ordinary people. He eats their food even though the conditions look terrible. To speak the truth there is a poor area regard GDP and economic with a great potential and coming years but cultural wise it’s the most rich in china almost .The relief it’s also very inconvenient to make infrastructure ( but that area has the most beautiful and breathtaking highways. Soon the speed train come also. ) Anyhow because I live there for few years and open few hotels in that place I get in touch with local culture. Some of the people they like to be that way no matter how much you help them. But Chinese government did a lot to lift that area and put big investments on it An area with great development in tourism and attractions ....good air quality and great awesome weather....Xichang ( the capital ofLiangshanzhou) it’s the city where the moon it’s so big and spring stay forever ! Full of flowers. A city where I spend the most happy years of my life ! My baby born there also! Great respect for president Xi to visit this area which aim sure right after this the places will flourish very well....because Iam sure he points well the needs for the people and local authorities they will get founding and pressure to do what ever he point for the good will of the people ! How world leaders have you seen visited poor and homeless citizens without all the fanfare and press and sat and ate with them. After his visit a team of experts, academia and students would visit the area to study and assess the strength and weakness of the specific locality for targeted poverty elimination programs. The solutions are not grandiose nor expensive but practical, be it tourism promotion, exquisite local handicrafts for sale through the internet to the outside world, schools and clinics and rural roads to connect to markets ...etc. Xi promised to the world complete poverty elimination for 30 million people by 2020. He is not afraid to face the judgement of the whole world if it fails.

I think most presidents, governors, senators... don't want to even LOOK at poor people. America didn't like to ADMIT there were poor people until fairly recently, when it became impossible to ignore! Targeted measures seem laborious and complicated, I wouldn't have thought of it! But I'm starting to see the point... It's sustainable, and doesn't create "welfare moms", everyone is working who can work, everyone is producing something or building something, industry and modern economy is reaching OUT into the barren fringes of the nation. America is going the OTHER WAY, all the small towns are drying up, the economy is contracting, a few major cities grow while a hundred minor ones become empty. I think poverty in the US is WORSE than in China! More hopeless, more deadly, poor people have distinctly shorter lives, homeless people have DRAMATICALLY shorter lives! I think part of the genius of this is that people on the fringes can be lifted up, become secure economically and have health care and education... but still retain some signs of their history.... NOT become generic, you know you're not in the big city.... presently people will want to come visit them, we see this all the time. Not every place I guess, but internal tourism seems like a THING in China going forward. I think it's good for everyone! Instead of making stupid tourist attractions in Orlando (say), they are all over, and direct some money straight TO the obscure communities where they are! It looks like a good deal. Go out to the country for awhile, eat some home cooked food, local specialties... and just relax and enjoy some scenery for awhile before going back to your apartment and busy life in Shanghai or whatever.

說到點子了，他的視察不是做秀，而是真的很“豬心之問”的，比如新房子講究他蓋的安不安全，在山坡旁邊，不會滑坡吧！ 然後對住在危險的破木橋上面的懸崖村，之前緊急情況時是先修建起堅固安全的鋼管金屬橋，至少安全保障從沒扶手到有扶手，多少安全點。後來安全地方的新房子蓋好了，就把他們從山溝溝裡頭的懸崖上撈出來住，至少安全且才能夠就醫就學，異地了才能夠幫助他們，讓他們做自己原先就擅長的農牧產品加工，或是養殖業都好。 不過，噴子就會囉唆，他們永遠都是會找碴，蓋鋼橋就說敷衍搪塞貧民，把他們搬出來精準扶貧又說“不尊重他們住在懸崖上的自由，壓迫人權”。 靠！ 他們既然也早就上去過了，怎麼不見他們早點掏錢幫他們脫貧，還把他們放到讓共產黨可以在好幾年後“壓迫”他們住在懸崖上的自由？
