I love this! As an Indian this makes me super happy. Just one tip - when talking about the foods, your pronunciation slipped, but it can be confusing so completely understand. E.g.., when you are saying "dhal makhani" you should say it like "muck-ni", don't pronounce the second "a". And same with "lassi", we would say "lussi" not "laasi". Hope this helps :)

There’s definitely that influence of Indian culture from the cross connections of Great Britain and India…it would make sense. I’m part Indian and my maternal grandmothers family came from Britain so I’m connected on both sides. It’s somewhat ironic because British cooking to my knowledge wasn’t known for being super spicy or flavorful.

The more languages you learn, the easier it becomes learning another language. Hindi, is Indo European language and has a lot of grammatical similarities of languages of Europe especially Romance languages. If you know Spanish it's easier to construct sentences in Hindi, (considering you've had enough vocabulary) cause both have similar syntax.

I wouldn’t say it’s very similar to Spanish grammatically. Weirdly enough though it is pretty similar to Japanese

No way man! I was just thinking of you today. I myself am a polyglot too, I speak 7 languages but I plan to learn some more and I am on my way to succeed. I speak English, Russian, German, Polish, Spanish, Serbian (my native) and Hungarian. I use internet a lot for all sorts of things I am curious about. The last language I used it for is Hungarian which is like the 4th hardest one in the world. One of my goals are Japanese and Chinese. I am studying to become a translator one day and I will tell you another reason why I thought of you today. There are a lot of Hungarians in my country and in my city because we are their neighbors and today I spoke to a few, I was on an open air market and I reminded myself of you talking to all those sales people in New York chinatown. They were thrilled :) Keep up the great work my friend, you are goals!

True, but if that bothered you a lot (which is understandable), you probably should never eat out anywhere. I think we all like to have this idea that food is prepared fresh in some sanitary bubble and arrives to us in an uncontaminated state, but the truth is that A LOT goes on behind the scenes with people wiping their noses, butts, and everything, and then some small amount of that goes on our food. Bon appetit!🙂

Wait a minute. The first Indian was outside his shop wiping his nose, doing something with the trash I gather. He comes through the door, doesn't wash his hands and is without gloves, handling Xiaoma's food. I was waiting for him to wash his hands or even put on a plastic glove. No wonder COVID is rampant. ON the flip side, even Xiaoma is handling/eating his food without washing his hands, after touching the door. lol Reminds me of the old days when we ate at MacDonalds. WE dont do that anymore, to pay for our food then eat our fries with our unwashed fingers. We have come a long way in three years post COVID.
