Seriously, I love all of your reviews. Go straight to the detail, explain everything in detail.

The crash should teach you the cardinal rule of stunting new planes. "Fly at least 3 mistakes high" but you managed it rather well and you were getting some "lift" from the terrain edges in the breeze. They really don't handle wind too well an though it would probably have handled the winds you had, discretion is always better in early flights. Nice review

Nice to hear a normal bloke using normal words. I’ve been looking at this, as I’ve built and flown quads & found after years that I’m a rubbish pilot. Som I’m thinking of getting into fpv fixed wing just for the joy of flying

great video thanks very much! Just started flying this plane, coming from quads and its great fun really relaxing flying a glider which i never would have guest.

Very nice flying and demo, good job. A beautiful little glider. Next time you go to that beautiful hill, I would like to see you determine which way the wind is coming from. A couple times you said it was on your back. Perfect, then that was the side of the hill you should have been flying on. It is called "ridge flying". If you flew your little glider left and right along that ridge, and into the wind pushing out as far as you could go, you could have flown all day with out even using the motor. I come from the days when we used high starts to get our gliders up about 100 feet above the ground and then looked for thermals. Ridge flying was always the best as long as you had some wind as the wind bouncing off the ridge allowed you to fly back and forth along it all day long, and with no motor at all. Just use stability mode until you get really good at flying the ridge, then move to the other modes to do loops and things. Anyway, this is another part of our hobby you have discovered and it is a lot of fun. Happy Flying

People always expect a glider to handle like a truck but they can be agile and pull some tight moves. Put a FPV camera on it. :)

Nice single-point landing & durability test Tig! 😁 I saw Quadcopter 101 review this too and was very impressed. XK look to have done it again - I'm still really enjoying my X520.

Andy Osmond I looked at the XK520 too but I ordered this instead. I think people who fpv on this will be pleasantly surprised by the proximity flying it’s capable of.

G'Day Tigg. I really enjoyed your video, you had a ball with the glider and I agree that it is incredible value for money. If you get a chance can you tell me how you set up your mike? All my gopro footage has howling wind song. All the best from Tasmania.

What glue did you use to repair the wing? I use weldbond, but it certainly doesnt dry quickly.. you say "super glue" but most super glues I know of would have eaten away at the foam. Was it gorilla glue?
@theoztreecrasher26473 жыл бұрын
It's made of EPP not crappy EPS (styrofoam) so you can use most types of glue with impunity!

@@TiggersRCReviewsTTFN I promise it doesnt lol. You need serious computing power and an array of sensors to be able to do that.

Hi I just purchased one of these and was wondering what are the battery connectors called , has I am new to the hobby . Thank you
@Anrufbeantworter2 жыл бұрын
Charger Connection: 2S Lipo Balancer Extension Cable JST-HX Motor connector: 2 Pin 2.0 male / female Molex You can find the batteries complete with cables and the cables separately with contacts ready at Ebay. I use the cables to measure the electric current and voltage. Attention! There are also other battery connectors (red), if you want to use other batteries, they must build an adapter.

I'd like to fit my Crazepony camera onto this plane. The camera uses a 3.7v battery. Just wondering if I can save weight by tapping off 3.7v from the plane's 2S cell, via the balance plug ? - Would this be bad for the battery ?
@paulhope34014 жыл бұрын
As long as you have a balance charger. Loads of people do it.. It will use a little more juice from one of the cells but as long as you dont run the battery right down to min voltage it should be fine. Most balancing chargers needs to see a voltage thats above min for both cells so just land a little earlier.

It offends my sense of irony that a plane flown by Tigger should fail to demonstrate its bounciness. A.A. Milne's lawyers will be in touch. Christopher Robin knows where you live. I'm kidding, people. Spare me all the hate.

Junk do not buy. Rudder Elevator Push rods bend before control surface moves. Push rods are different on my airplane not like shown in video. Aileron does not move enough servos are to weak. Have not found any stabilization functions like i know from other suppliers. Plugin in LIPO keep airplane level for 30 Sec otherwise self leveling will not work (blinking LED shows learning mode). Badly explained in manual.
