The random acquaintance you talk to in the hallway in the beginning of the game that works with you screws you over in a side quest much much later in the game. Actually one of the last that was available for me. He makes it out like you need to help him and he was killed by your former bosses, only to find out he set you up and tries to kill you and bring your head back to gain favor. This obviously doesn’t play out for him. Not quite the same thing, but this guy is kind of a dick to you if you initially walked away from him in the beginning and then come back to continue the conversation, so you do get to screw over your dick coworker one last time before you head back to the office. Not quite the same impact as what you said would have been but still something.

If you go with hanako's offer johnny mentions that the line between johnny and V has blurred so much that even after they cut Johnny out V will still have parts of Johnny in him. Guess it still counts whether arasaka did the cut or alt did. Whether it was Johnny or V that survived they will always have a part of the other in them

You know at the end where you leave Johnny your own body, at the part where he says "V the truth is... I'm afraid, afraid for you" if you go back to where he is there will be a little dialogue between the two of them, and both V and Johnny will shake hands. And after you try to go back the way of the point he will pull your arm one more time making the handshake stronger. It's a small detail, but it lets you know how grateful and how much respect Silverhand has for V.

The most logical ending would've been to get V a new body for his/her engram, instead of implanting it into his/her damaged body. Then character creation pops up and voilá. Leave V's body to Johnny. The issue is, Johnny already OVERWROTE V's DNA. Meaning, that his DNA is permanently replaced. There's no copy of the original V we started out as

The DNA overwrite thing makes no sense in the first place. The Nanites only have to reconfigure the neural paths in V's brain to install Johnnys engram. Alt said the immune system would attack the brain, if V stays in his body, which only barely makes sense if the Nanites have replaced EVERY bit of DNA in V's body with Johnnys DNA. (Yes, replaced, overwriting DNA isn't possible. It's not like a computer memory.) However this would turn V's Body into a clone of Johnnys Body, which doesn't happen, as seen in the ending. Why the immune system would attack the brain, if was configured differently, is also not explained. There is also no reason and no explanation why and how soulkiller reads the victims DNA. Soulkiller is just a program after all and had no access to the nanite tech, the relic is based on, when johnnys engram was created. My theory is: The DNA thing wasn't thought through properly, because it was added late in development. CDPR tried to cover up the fact that the games main plot is mediocre at best, by intruducing more drama (V's imminent death) at the end of the story. Soulkiller and the relic seem terribly underdeveloped for a plot device, which carries the main story.

​​​@@janney3889I don't think it will work that way, engrams are human minds so they're still humane in some way, which makes them possible to implant back to an empty (dead) body and make them "alive" it won't be the same person but a person nonetheless, 'cause it will rely on neural system, biological and physiological processes of that body, they'll become it's own, but if V goes with Alt he/she's not an engram anymore, he/she becomes an AI, and the only way he/she can control a body is by forcefully taking it over and contaging the owner of it, like what happened with Songbird, but he won't be a human, just a piece of code that has memories about emotions, he/she may emulate them, but it won't be the same even to the engram that been put into a body, not even talking about real, unmodified person, it'll be just an AI controlling a sack of bones, meat and blood through a broken and damaged neural system, that don't listen it's original owner anymore, again that's what happened to Songbird, and that's what may happen to everyone if the Blackwall gets destroyed.

IMO they could easily fix this by having him take part in the ambush on you and Tak after kidnapping Hanako. The mission would be the same except you hear Smasher who's taunting you the entire time and if you take too long trying to escape he finds you and kills you instantly like in Konpeki Plaza. It'd also make rescuing Goro much more of a risk since you not only have to make your way to him but also escape from Smasher.

so, what you need to do is when you visit johnnys grave you need to say that he fucked up the relationship between you two and then give him a second chance. This changes the dialogue between johnny and kerry in the next mission (scripted dialogue) and that gives an additional 10% on the gauge.

The johnny in v's body ending feels a lot more truly cyberpunk and philosophical. I really enjoyed his thoughts on music, being an artist & his development into a wiser and more grateful character. Bittersweet, but hopeful. V also sort of see's a type of dimensional ascension into the unknown with Alt.

I found the Panam ending to be the best for my V. The Cyberpunk lore hints that there are people capable of reversing what happened to V. Even Blue Eyes has the capability. There's a lot more unimaginable tech that can do a shitload of things. Then again, we have multiple endings for multiple reasons, to suit a multitude of gamer personalities. Also, the Tarot readings give hints.

If you collect the items in that apartment before you reach this ending, you wont be able to do the "get dressed" part of that mission, as they wont respawn for the ending. FYI for anyone that wants to do this too: You do not need 70% of friendship with Johnny, you have to select specific dialogue options during the scene at his grave in the oil fields. You pick the following options during the conversation at the grave: - The guy who saved my life - No you fucked that up too - What do you want from me - Ok. But as second chances go this is your last And you also need to do the short Rogue sidequestline to get access to this ending, the date with her. Theres more info online when you directly search for the secret ending. I'm sitting at 50% Johnny and did the ending on Very Hard today. Really can recommend to not try this before level 40 (and even then you need really good cyberware and weapons to deal with the hordes of enemies). Have fun.

(Don't Fear) The Reaper is legitimately difficult. Mainly because of your significantly reduced health (starts at 75% max, drops as low as 66% max towards the end), the sheer number of enemies, and other factors, like the entrance with limited cover and their ninjas. Considering you're also alone, it's easy to get overwhelmed and find yourself unable to heal back up in time. For this reason, consider using a Health Booster right at the start to get some more back. Pop the long-lasting consumable for Stamina and/or RAM if using a melee/netrunning build, respectively. However, due to the number of Arasaka Mechs and Robots, pack weapons with Electrical Damage and the Short Circuit Quickhack (if you can get it, the Legendary variant). Among weapons, the best one without a doubt for this one is the Yinglong, and you can get its crafting spec in the Suspected Organized Crime Activity in Wellsprings, Heywood. It's a Legendary Iconic Smart SMG with guaranteed Electrical Damage, +Crit Chance%, +Crit Hit Damage%, and perhaps best, a chance to deliver an EMP burst on shots that hit. Pair with a Smart Link, and you can shred the enemies without having to aim too much. Even Adam Smasher goes down fast with an electrical barrage. It's ridiculous how good the Yinglong is here, especially considering that enemies tend to run in grouped up. If an EMP goes off on them, it can hamper the entire group of enemies. If your Body is high enough, also consider grabbing one of those HMGs the enemy Juggernauts drop! They deal splash damage, so having a way to deal with bunched groups of enemies will go a long way. Besides, saves ammo for your Yinglong if you're using it. Also worth noting that this is the only way to get The Sun ending and have Rogue survive.

There are just certain sections that are harder for certain builds, but they’re all kinda easy once you really get your build done. Sandevistan is still the easiest to use, and you’d be unstoppable

My thoughts exactly after finishing this ending. It's the only reason I'd ever choose the Star over this one. I chose to do the suicide run not for glory, fame, or money. I did it because until that point I'd gotten several people killed in an attempt to save my short dwindling life. I refused to put any more people in danger even if Rogue/Saul are cunts. In V's shoes, If i'd just singlehandedly toppled a global empire and had all the money and resources a man could need for several lifetimes, I damn sure wouldn't spend it all on a tacky mansion to stay In NC. I'd take Panam up on her offer and use said resources to help the Aldecaldos back on their feet(especially seeing as they won't be lacking for work, they would be travelling with the best Merc in the world)

I completed the game on the 22nd, and did all the endings, ive played many many story games and for some reason the ending of this game made me feel so attached too my dumb little character i had created.. i personally loved this game and its story, i know people hate on the problems the game has and yes this game has problems but they managed too make me feel so attached too some video game characters.. i personally played female v and romanced Judy on my first play though and chose the ending too let johnny and rogue blow up arasaka again.. if you havnt played the game and you have a pc then i highly recommend doing it, it will be worth your time “note” “you need too run music, the copyright soundtrack of this game is sooo fricken good, its just not the same without them”

I personally think the secret ending is one of my favourites because of the way it shows that Johnny and v learned and evolved from each other and that actually this whole thing might have had some positive impact on both of them. And I really like the way they come to the decision they do come to, like real friends saying goodbye and actually giving a shit about each other in their own ways. Not to mention the whole not wanting to bring anyone else into it and choosing to go it alone (with Johnny). But if you as v choose to go back and live as long and as well as you can (my preferred choice) you end up with one of the other endings copy and pasted in. An ending in which you wake up in an expensive flashy apartment (kinda felt like my v grew out of that superficial goal) and then you find that you and your romantic interest have grown distant because seemingly v has just continued on like they learned nothing from Johnny's sacrifice and the whole 6 months to live thing. This all feels even weirder with panam as you surely would be with the aldecaldos at this point right? I wish the secret ending wasn't the waking up in the apartment one. Instead I would have loved an ending where you wake up still in arasaka tower and have to escape to live your new life with the lessons learned. As you are attempting to escape you phone your friends (also a perfect moment for a final call/monologue to Jackie) and thank them telling them you are trying to get back to them but that you don't know if you will make it , just that you finally know what is important (of course implying them and not aspirations of money and legend). Then as you get closer to escaping you call your romantic interest, having an emotional exchange of much the same things said to the friends but also exclaiming v's love for them and hoping for a better future should they escape. Of course they would be worried but ultimately accepting that at least v finally found what they were looking for (family/connection/meaning). The call ends with v telling the romantic interest "See ya soon" and proceeding to fight or sneak past some more arasaka goons maybe a full maxtac squad that you have to fight for a real high octane secret ending feel. Ultimately if you die you get a sad but earned ending with threads tied off and maxtac finishes you off(if you die you could still reload and try again after watching that version of the ending). If you defeat maxtac then you stumble out of arasaka tower and the camera cuts to the iconic birds eye view of the round about with the corpo buildings around it as music swells and finally cuts to black. Now at this point it could cut and we go into the credits with the moments of v's friends and loved ones leaving him/her messages relevant to the endings and past choices. However before that I think since it's a secret ending it would be nice to have the cut to black be a fake out. After a few moments lingering on the black screen after escaping arasaka the camera slowly fades in to v waking up next to their romantic interest (if Judy then in her apartment, if Panam the camp etc.) They share a few happy moments in bed before getting up, a new objective in the top right that says "help romantic interest pack". You spend a couple minutes packing a small amount of important things with your chosen partner (maybe a few things from the story so far) and share some nostalgic moments. As you take the packed up things to a car with your romantic interest a cutscene plays, perhaps a brief moment between v and romantic interest in which v coughs and they say something ambiguous like "We'll find a way" something to give some hope but not necessarily an answer to v's fate. Finally v and their love interest drive off to one of the great songs in the game and as they do so the credits role (for Panam romance you would drive off with the aldecaldos, maybe Judy even shows up much like that other ending.)And now finally we get the messages from friends wishing v well on their next journey as the credits role. Sorry for writing so much, oops! This is pretty much my head canon of a happy ending that still feels like a cyberpunk story and leaves some open-endedness. But is much more satisfying and cohesive than any of the other endings I think. Let me know what you think.

Another sad detail about every ending (except arasaka) is that the original V is dead no matter what. Soulkiller just killed the original V and transformed him to an engram. So even if he returns to the body, its not the original v anymore but an engram. Which makes all your doings in the game needless bec in the end you die anyway. Wish there was at least one happy ending like Witcher 3.

Actually this isn't true. In some dialogue options, Johnny explains that because V's body is still connected to Mikoshi during the Soulkilling process, he's still a real person, unlike him and Alt who are now just AI in the image of who they once were. Soulkiller separates and records your neurological data (personality, memories, etc.), but if your body is still connected and alive, it can just be put it all right back and you're still you, technically. That's why Alt and Johnny are just AI now, their original bodies died before they could be put back.

Whatever of V is left in his biological brain stays there, until his body dies or the memory is overwritten (read: neurologically reconfigured) by the relic. Who you are (your thoughts, emotions, memories) are a bunch of electrical impulses that fire off from the neurons in your brain, not the actual brain itself or even the neurons. We’re almost “living code” in a way. So when Soulkiller is recording you, supposedly, it’s recording the same impulse patterns your neurons fire off that your brain recorded as memories, personality, likes and dislikes. So yes, you are on the Relic. But when the relic is inserted back, it’s basically telling your brain to fire all these neuron impulses that made you, you. Your brain and consciousness basically hold the “living data” that is you, and all you encompass. It’s like when you get amnesia and forget everything about yourself. You’re still alive and conscious, right? But your brain doesn’t remember all the impulses that were your memories or who you loved or what you hated. So are you still you at that point? Or are you not until you regain those memories, and until then you’re a different person? These aren’t easy questions, and I don’t think this game is suppose to answer that, really. It’s on us to ask these questions.

@@Bennet2391 Technically, the real issue is that Dexter DeShawn killed V in the beginning, and you've been playing a dead man/woman walking ever since. So there's no reason to concern yourself with, "Is the engram version of V the real V?". Either way, you've been on borrowed time the entire game. Which is exactly what Cyberpunk was all about in the 80's and 90's in the tabletop RPG I played. It's edgy, dark, and borderline hopeless. A world gone to hell and decorated with neon lights. I like the crappy, horror filled endings. They're far more likely what would happen in the game proper. I guess my favorite is going heroic and being a legend. That fits the motif. Almost everyone wants to be that in real life, and the usual Cyberpunk characters in the RPG want the same things. People are selfish, so the one where V decides to go back to his dying body makes the most likely scenario. I suspect the DLC will run based on that ending. At least, I would have it do that. Then create a new arch villain and story to follow up, and give V a chance to earn his/her life back. Even give him/her several ways to do it, including stealing someone else's body (for horror factor). Also, it's hard being at the top. Beating the legendary guy makes you a legend (like when V beats Adam Smasher). So look forward to posers and elite badasses like Morgan Blackhand getting you in their sights. The story could start out with V at the Crystal Palace and go from there.

Long term memories and personal beliefs become "hardware" if they are held long enough or reinforced enough. Taking a snapshot of the brains neural activity, only captures the thoughts, emotions and sensory experience at this point in time. It's like trying to reconstruct an ANN only from the content of its activation variables. You are missing the underlying structure and without it, this data is useless, incomplete. From a materialistic standpoint (which CP2077 arguably has) the sense of self, long term memories and personal belief are tied to the structure of the brain, not the momentary activity.

Played all endings today. They're all so bittersweet or downright sad. Arasaka ending makes Johnny hate you and your life is left uncertain, Panam ending is filled with uncertainities and lots of deaths, Rogue's ending is probably the only one that made a little sense to me except even that is super sad since V ends up alone in NC and then attacks Crystal Palace for whatever reason. Great game still but by God do the endings make you feel empty.

This rogue AI is not some 'god" "thing" ', it can't even breach Arasaka's ICE fortress without outside help. It is, however, an AI created using Alt's engram. This AI contains and actively makes decisions using Alt's personality and memory data. More importantly, this AI shows clear bias when interacting with character due to Alt's engram. So as far as I'm concerned, whether it's been stated several times or not is completely irrelevant to what I'm saying both in my initial comment and here.

I felt like giving Johnny V's body and having V exist beyond the black wall was the best ending for both main characters even if it meant your friends were unhappy. Johnny lives on and remembers V, while V lives on and remembers Johnny, with the possibility to eventually return to the material world if Alt would allow it. The main thing to keep in mind is that soulkiller eliminates original V and copies him onto a chip anyway, so you're playing as an AI construct regardless of what ending you choose. Therefore, V joining Alt and Johnny getting his body is the only logical decision.

Hellman already built the bases of it through the relic and the V running into the net is already a copy of all that he represents. With enough resources johnny outside could either A) get on with building another relic and at that point it's just a matter of time till he finishes it and then till he finds V again or B) a 100% borged out V with a brain built specifically to host that engram. True this would be more difficult as we don't know how that will really interact with a "fake" body but at that point V's consciousness is already lines of code, with patience and Alt's collaboration it can be tweaked for the job, she built the soul killer once she has the experience of working with the "soul"

Because soulkiller can only copy, not transfer, and it can only copy memories and psyche, not the "soul" (consciousness) while still wipe everything in the brain out, hence the "soulkiller". It is arguable that V would still be the same V if you chose to go back, assume that V's consciousness is still there. (but the cure in only 6 months? let bet on Mr. blue eyes?) With the second option, our V may be gone, but it's nearly guaranteed that the new V will come back, and no one that is waiting for V will be sad. (unless they knew the true nature of the soulkiller, that is.)

This ending made me feel so awesome. Being able to storm Arasaka alone, taking out all their forces, hearing their screams of either disbelief or terror, and doing what Johnny couldn't and kill Adam Smasher once and for all. Literally my only complaint is not being able to choose between the "Star" and "Sun" ending after prevailing against Arasaka (You did it, against all odds. So why can't we choose?), but other than that, it was amazing.

I really do honestly feel like "Don't Fear the Reaper" ending is actually the best one, because with V in his own body, there's no hope. With Johnny in his body and V beyond the black wall, at least there's hope. Hope for V to continue existing and hope for Johnny to live a proper life.

Don't Fear the Reaper is a "path" that leads to either The Sun or Temperance endings, it isn't an ending in itself, if you choose to live as V you get The Sun, if you give Johnny V's body, you get Temperance, they're different, connected through Don't Fear the Reaper.

So the nanites in the Relic have rewritten V's body to match Johny's, thus V's consciousness cannot survive more than 6 months in the body - what Alt was saying. Alt does seem bias towards Johny and it could be seen as a sign she whats Johny in V's body, this is why she "forgot " to take in to account V's body being changes by the relic. If you go with the bad ending - the Arasaka one, it seems to have the best chance of V surviving past 6 months. here is why: Arasaka has the resources to create another relic with V's engram and like Johny's relic rewrote V's body to match Johny's, this relic can rewrite the body to match back to V's. It will just take some time for Arasaka to recreate it but with Hellman onboard it seems quite possible. The only question is if Arasaka are willing to do it. This new V relic can also work with the other endings - Mr. Blue Eyes has the tech for it or Panam's contacts also do. here is my SUBJECTIVE take on all the endings: But basically the endings cater to a following people: The Arasaka ending caters to people who want to live no matter what (selfish ending)- become and engram an wait for the day they can put you back in the real world / or return to earth and wait for arasaka to develop the Relic in the next 6 moths The Panam ending caters to the same people but on a happier note - at least you have 6 happy moths left with friends (also selfish if you ask me, putting in danger so many just to save one life, but at leas it works out in the end, kind of) The Rogue ending is for the people who what go out with a bang (this one is not selfish as it is played from Johny's perspective and he is the one who makes the choice to go to cyberspace and V keeps his body. You don't feel like such a dick for clinging to life when someone else make the choice) I don't like that Rogue dies in this one, especialty since Johnny Dragged her in to it and she has a son The secret ending and you return to V's body - if you have no romance it is also a good one as there are no broken harts in the end of the 6 moths and you go out with a bang, to an awesome tune. The Johny ending - is for people who are ready to let V's journey end and give his life for something greater. CDPR naming this ending temperance suggest is is the best one as it is about achieving balance, overcoming your desires, self restraints Not even discussing the suicide endings as that one is depressing as s**t. The could have at least given us the option to call everybody and say our goodbys. Better go with the secret one. Again you can apply the second relic theory on all the ending to have a hopeful and happy ending, but with the secret, Panam and Rogue endings that might be very difficult as Mikoshi is gone and there seems to be no way to create V's engram on the second relic. However looking at the meaning of Temperance it looks like it should be the canon one, representing the most growth for the character. setting aside personal ambitions (for both Johny and V). And for me it was the most emotional. it is perfect if you have not romanced anyone - no broken harts at the end. The only real problem with the temperance ending I have is that no one knows of V's sacrifice and everybody is just wondering where V is, thinking she/he just abandoned them. So in the end happy/bad endings are just subjective - CDPR have given us different ending to cater to the type of person you think V is and the consequences of his/her actions. side note: given that after the final mission you are return to a checkpoint prior to it I think any DLC will take place before the final mission (similar to Mass Effect 3) as the ending is the de facto ending. it would be beyond awesome and would elevate CPRD to mythical status if the have different DLC for the different endings but I don't see them speeding the amount of resources to make 5 times DLCs. I only wish they could add an extension to the temperance ending where V can say his goodbys to the people she/he cares about before going in to cyberspace with Alt so it does not feel like you made a bad choice in the eyes of everybody else. and a final note on the game it self and the devs. Even in it's buggy state, it is a awesome how much praise it gets despite the bugs. I cannot wait to see it when they iron out the kinks and get the finished product. I'ts just a shame that the industry allows unfinished games to be released, but as far as beta versions of games go, this one is the best and I hope CPRD survives the challenges ahead and continue to make great games and hopefully have the chance to finish them properly before release next time. They don't spell it out word by word, but there is a conversation path where this is implied. V doesn't give a clear cut answer, but says something along the lines of "getting things in order first" and "one last mission". Panam basically replies she's waiting and that he'll always have a place at the Aldecados. Got me the feeling V intends to take the offer, just didn't want to make promises.

As much as I loved Panam ending, I must say this ending is more satisfying. You walk in alone with your lovely guide Johnny Silverhand and fuck Arasaka up so bad that their stocks tank. Not only that, you destroy Mikoshi (where Saburo is chilling at) and fucking Smasher up. Sure we lose Panam... but least no one we know dies.

Any of the endings other than The Devil and suicide, Arasaka is basically completely fucked. Their flagship project that they had the worlds elites signed onto just catastrophically went up in smoke, together with their biggest information repository. They're humiliated on a global stage by one of their most secure locations getting kicked over. And perhaps even worse, Saburo's engram is gone and Hanako Arasaka is dead, leaving Yorinobu in charge with nobody left to seriously oppose him. A man whose entire goal for the last couple decades has been to burn Arasaka to the ground from the inside.

@@omniemon The craziest part of this all is that Yorinobu works with Adam Smasher. It turns out in a bizarre twist that if you helped Adam Smasher with Yorinobu's plans, Johnny also gets his wish to take down Arasaka, just not on his terms. The real depth of the story to me is discovering how little V knows following only one path in life despite becoming a god-tier solo. It is essentially the same Witcher 3 ending - with great power comes responsibility, not authority.

(and still forgive him, but the point stands that he knows he's bad with people.) Should have at least thrown texts to them, but It makes sense to me Johnny might duck out of it for that reason.

Not as painful when you think about it for a while... At least Johnny gets a life, in the other one you choose to stay just for what, die in the space so your portrait will be hanged on the wall in the Afterlife, or a cocktail in honor of you? Johnny was a legend, and what, many mercs remember of him all the time? Year-two, maybe five, and some other reckless idiot will blow himself up under Militech tower and everyone will talk about him, then will be the next one, and another one, and so on... The glory will eventually pass and people will remember your gig as just another incident. You will fade away. If you don't want to fight, if you gonna give up anyway, just let another person live, he will remember you regardless of anything because he's alive only because of you. If you think about it in that key, Temperance and Star are only two good endings in this game (Towers is personal preference if it's a good or a bad one and it's really different so I'm not talking about it right now), with the Panam ending you choosing to stay but at least you're not giving up, you try to fight and in this case even failure is better than resignation.

I mean, you sentence a guy, for whom you're the closest person he's ever had, who's already lived with a feeling and guilt of living on someone else's expense, to wear your face. Yeah, you give him a second chance. A second chance he knows he hardly deserves. In Temperance Johnny admits he doesn't deserve V's life, he still has a feeling V is somewhere there with him, still talks to V knowing there will never be a response. By all means, not trying to bash this ending or anything, god, I chose it five times outta those five I played the game. And while it's the most mature one, it does bring a lot of pain to at least one side of it. It is painful.

@@kittycat1887 maybe consider it as a gift from V to Johnny... Because V will die in six months anyway and Johnny will live on. It is possible that there is a way to cure V in all other endings, but giving the body to Johnny is the only solution that doesn't require help from corpos or doesn't put in danger anyone who's close to V (mostly Panam for maleV and Judy for femV), and this way you're giving it to someone who you trust, rather than relying on some blue eyed weirdos that may or may not take advantage of your situation. It is not the best for V and Johnny separately, but for both of them together and for everyone in general, it's the least destructive way. That's what the Temperance arcana means, it's a balance between two extremes. So it is painful, but it's not griefy, you see the light in this one. Also, I think V just remembered how much shit he had done and was like "okay, it's your problem now, bye!" **jumps into the ray of light** and by that, Johnny with his new body will now have to hide from Arasaka, Militech, Kang-Tao, NUSA, Biotechnica, Zetatech and angry Panam 🤣

I'll be honest, I haven't played or watched any video that summarized the plot of the game for me, but this video has just kicked my emotions to the other side and I don't know what to do with myself until the end of the day. I was holding on for more than a part of the film, especially since many times I saw the end of the game as V is flying to the station, but from the moment silverhand took V's body I haven't seen it and especially when he left the young man a gift, it needs a few hours to collect feelings and emotions, which fell apart and some fell under the bed. BTW: did you manage to make this jump to the orbital station?

Well. There is no way to know for sure if "Cyber Alt" was telling the truth or lying about V dying in 6 months. She was pretty fucked up in that point, and wanted V to go with her and let Johnny take the body. I know in the STAR ending V was still bleeding from time to time, but maybe was just that. In the Sol ending, this is not the case tough.

In the Arasaka ending he's also told he's got 6 months it's not just Alt. Though there could be ways to fix things. If V's body could be rewritten for Johnny why can't it be rewritten again for V? There is also the people who manipulated the next Mayor, Peralez, They they wen't pretty deep to make changes in his brain, sounds a little bit like what was going on with V, just with other methods not using the relic.

@@ecksbest I don't think Alt got in if you took the deal, who knows... I suspect the cure could be on the moon in one of those special labs they got there. Maybe they will continue the story in that directon. Also, the Corp deal seems to put an end on the brewing corp war. Not sure what happens to the corp war in the solo ending. Either way, I've enjoyed this game quite a lot, played Corpo first, the street kid, started the nomad but havn't played it that far. The origin doesn't seem to be too imporant except for a few options and encouters.. The corpo can impress the Militech lady and flirt with her with an encounter the notell hotell, don't think the street kid got that chance or I missed it through dialogue or other actions.

There is a stat on when you will die, before you do the final mission it's sitting at 40%, when you do the final mission and V lives it sits on 60%, if Johnny takes over V's body it's at 0%.

I don't get why you couldn't tbh. Like, you did it, you beat Arasaka! Against all odds, you accomplished the impossible by yourself. And where you go from there is up to you/V. You should be able to choose between the "Star" ending or the "Sun", but instead, we're railroaded into "Sun". No leaving Night City with the Aldecaldos and Panam now that you've finished with it all and made yourself a legend to boot.

That's why when you die in the secret ending or commit suicide, Panam is enraged and if you succeed and choose V to return in the body, Panam is not as warm (taking lone showers and being bitch in the kitchen, breaking up with you and leaving with the clan). From your point of view you want to protect them. But from theirs points of views, they see that they are not worth relying on in hard times, that you are egoistic and you want to do all things by yourself. That's the same reason V is enraged if you say (as Johnny) you will return to the body, but you start to cross the bridge - you strip him of his choice he made. Same as your friends - if you go in alone, you strip them of their right to choose rather to help or not.

Like me, I chose this ending because I wanted neither Saul nor Rogue to die. Not to mention we have essentially been relying on others throughout the whole game. This is/was a chance for V to do something entirely on their own, to carve out their own name.

The Johnny taking over your body part of the ending is the one you get after attacking the Arasaka building togehter with the Aldecaldos. Saul is gone (Smasher) and Mitch mentions the raid. Not sure if Panam ends up being that upset at Johnny if you go at it on your own. Lines may be different.

The johnny ending just feels better to me after seeing it. Not that one is morally better or whatever, but just the way it's portrayed. Maybe it's that anti-hero syndrome of seeing a flawed, and ego filled johnny turn around his life and start anew, helping a kid along the way. Can't say I would hate a tiny expansion of new johnny playin' small bars trying to make the big time again and kicking ass on the side, actually getting to grow old. But that'd never happen. Something about male vi leaving with panam seems kinda like, case closed too... Like he'd settle down have a kid before he just...dies in 6 months, leaving panam behind. But who says there isn't a universe where he keeps looking for a cure, there's been crazier turns of event in this game. Part of me wishes there was a true "good end", but I know that was never the goal in the game cause life isn't that cut and dry.

Don't fear the Reaper + Stay at Night City and rule is the best Ending. What's the point leaving City with Panam or Judy if you die anyway in a couple of months? Rather stick to the Afterlife where you can find people who may have recources and options for V to find a solution for the problem of still dying. Even if V decided to be with Judy or Panam he/she can just go after their "beloved partner" later. Jackie and V's goal was to become legends in Night City and only get quests from the best fixers. Never worry about making money again and being able to sit back and relax. You don't get any of that if you just leave town and spend a few months with a hot girl and their chooms you call "family". This guy who calls himself "Mr. Blue Eyes" may have a solution for V's problem but you would never find out if you leave the town. If you chose the Street Kid Path you will mention that it isn't any different at other places when Padre is driving you to your first mission from Kirk. That is also a part of the reason why you came back to Night City.

Do the Aldecaldos ending. It's a lot more satisfying and hopeful. It's clearly intended to be the "good" ending. It's the only ending where V hasn't given up hope of being cured but also isn't a brain damaged prisoner of Arasaka.

Man this game really can tuck at heartstrings. The Panam/Nomad ending is such a heartfelt optimistic, positive ending despite all the shit going on and Johnny taking over the body is still making the best of the situation and letting Johnny put the life lessons he learned into practice while V can finally rest... Its important to also have these positive notes even in the biggest mess because they´re the ones that make things so much more visceral than merely a "everybody lives happily ever after" or a "everyone dies" ending.
