May this festive Christmas Tide
Serve as a reminder
Of Peace on Earth, Good Will to Men
When people can be kinder.
It’s not a day to throw away
Sometime in January
But it’s a song to be sung year-long
And can be visionary
In the winter of the year
For spring, we all are yearning
Time of darkness and time of cold.
We wait for light’s returning
But winter snooze brings winter’s news
Prophet-bards foretelling
Life and light will return to Earth
Love within us dwelling,
So in this time, we visit friends
With merriment and gifting
Time to take stock and to make amends
New life and year uplifting,
But keep in mind there’s a child to find, however meek and lowly
Deep inside, God and self aligned,
Each heart and night is holy

We didn't get to Christmas cards this year, so please let this serve as the perfect christmas gift that doesn't take up much room on the shelf.
Jan and I wrote this a few years back and originally set it to a French Carol, "He is Born" We then learned it also fits to Pachelbel's greatest hit. Pachelbel's Canon.(ie: round) This is a first draft and Jan's voice will grace Volume ll.
THANK YOU ALL for love and friendship over the years. Sappy/newsey poem to come probably in January if anyone would like. Please let us know.
MUCH LOVE ACROSS THE MILES to California, Massachusetts, and Florida folk.
Jan and John
