This season was way stronger than the last two, the contestants towards the end seemed waaay more invested in the outcome of this one. From the final 7 or so they all had very strong personalities and were much more talented than usual. I think the producers of this show forget at time that like 50-70% of this show's interest for a lot of viewers is derived from the food, and if that's uninteresting it spoils it. The finale was the most interesting yet as I genuinely couldn't tell who was going to win. Also, Gordo tends to be more critical/honest when his European peers are in the room - I find it very interesting when the judges get hyper specific and suggest minor improvements, then sometimes disagree with each other. Also I'm with David and his outburst a couple of episodes ago, it's incredibly cruel how they cut off all contact (no internet/phoning) with their families for three months - if I gave up 3 months with my 5 year daughter and got fucked by a stupid challenge that has nothing to do with skill level id be furious too
