CAUTION: The current xAir app is not compatable with iPad OS version 16.x. Behringer has pulished that they are aware and working on a new application behringer.world/viewtopic.php?p=5498 . It is recommended to move to alternate control methods (Mixstation app, desktop xair app, android tablet, xTouch).

I have a network for the equipment and another network for the users. Between the networks there is a firewall. I need to know which TCP/IP ports should be allowed on the firewall between the Mixer and the mobile application.

We are having a problem with the computer being able to connect to the X18 but when we start using the iPads they disconnect frequently and are unreliable. I try to restart and connect again and it is not avialable - we have a worship service tonight for Christmas Eve and can't seem to make it connect. Any ideas or troubleshooting?

Try changing the password on the internal access point. There are two possible issues with reliability I am aware of. The first is bad network congestion where you are using the device or even WiFi jamming. The second is a network without a WEP password applied. If you have access to a Ethernet cable and a laptop with a Ethernet jack and the Xair edit software I would create a hard line connection between them. This is the most reliable connection type, but does take a bit of know how with static and DHCP addressing. Best of luck and Merry Christmas.

The bottom line is Xair app is broken with the last two IOS updates, and Behringer Music Tribe won't fix it

@@spiritnsky We have added a router with WEP and now we cannot get to the effects - this is a recent situation with the last upgrade to PadOS

Thanks for this helpful video. Is it possible to to connect the XR18 to an iPad via usb cable and use the XR18 as the soundcard on the ipad? We want to live stream to Facebook using the ipad for video and the XR18 for audio. Thanks again.

Yes, I’ve done this on several occasions with good results. However different apps deal with interfaces differently. You may find it works best to setup your XR-18 as a 2x2 interface and route the main bus to the iPad.
