I had the xreal air 2 pro and now i have the viture xr pro which is just way better than xreal in all aspects. The viture is way sharper and much brighter. The only thing is that viture on color has added more yellow as it is better for the eyes. They told me that there will be a switchmode for that in the next update of their spacewalker app. For productivity the spacewalker app is in a different league compared to Nebula app of xreal. Viture is sharper and the 3 screens are very steady and not as glitchy as xreal. I was not able to use nebula for programming but with viture and spacewalker I can and I love it.

Hi Marcus!, thanks for sharing. I didn't know about an upcoming release that would allow switching the colour profile but that would be great. I've also been using the app for Mac OS and it's 100% usable, I even sent emails and used visual studio without any hassle, I really liked it particularly when I don't want to share with people around me what I'm doing, it's great for privacy. Can't say the same about the non-existent nebula app for Mac🤷‍♂. There's a beta version that seemed quite faulty last time I tried and it had remained as beta for a long time😞.

Hey there - thanks for the review! Allow us to quickly address some of your feedback in the video: While our display is capped at 4000nits, XREAL Air 2 Pro provides 500nits of perceived brightness despite having the opportunity to go beyond (which is >1000nits) due to one main reason - minimize eye fatigue. As stark contrasts between brightness of the display and the surrounding enviroment can lead to eye fatigue and discomfort, therefore, affecting your overall experience while using XREAL Air 2 Pro. XREAL Air 2 series goes through a process where we individually calibrate each pair to provide the best possible color accuracy, as displays often come in various "settings", we realize it is impossible to have a one-size-fit-all solution for color accuracy, resulting in us investing in this process to calibrate each pair for XREAL Air 2 before it leaves our factory. Let's talk if you would like to explore further into what goes into every single pair of AR glasses produced by XREAL, not just about the specs but everything else!

I agree that colour accuracy is not one size fits all because, among other things, there are differences in the components used when mass producing a product yet I can see xreal has done a great job with the xreal air 2 pro glasses in that regard (color accuracy). That makes the display colours pleasant to the eyes 😎, you've managed to find that right balance. In terms of the perceived brightness, I don't think people would expect full brightness in such a way that would cause fatigue. At this point in time none of the highest brightness settings from xreal air 2 pro or viture XR pro have caused me fatigue when used at its max brightness setting (for a few hours). I've felt fatigue from the temples themselves or the nosepads first rather than because of the brightness. Certainly, the brightness need to match the environment. Using the glasses at top brightness in a super dark room will indeed cause me fatigue even if not at its full power (500 nits of perceived brightness). I think the use case is a bit more about being able to see the display without any glasses' cover on a bright summer day. It doesn't need to be super bright but possibly slightly brighter on the brightest setting could satisfy those who want it to be brighter without causing fatigue. I think there's a sweetspot in which there's enough brightness to see the images even clearer without causing fatigue. I'd be keen to know a bit more of the process that goes into the production of each xreal glasses beyond just the specs. I'm also interested in knowing a bit more about Mac support for the Nebula app. Thanks again for stopping by and sharing more details of the xreal air 2 pro glasses 😎

Well we should be talking about the Specs AND everything else cos you can admit you DO have competition. I'm also factoring in the cost of the additional tech items and software

What about the short cable on the Viture Pros? Didnt you find it too short? I feel this is their underhanded way of having you by their additional toys

I can't believe how honest and detailed this video is. What a refreshing piece of documentation in comparison with all those sponsored imbeciles who just repeat bullet points and list out specs. I do have a question - my IPD is somewhere around 70.5-71. I want the Viture Pro but this kind of falls at the max recommended IPD, if not slightly outside. Does it guarantee that edges will be blurry? Of note is that I am getting lens inserts to correct my astigmatism - not sure this would help with the potential blur though. Thanks.

thank you for stopping by! I'm not familiar with the effect that certain values of IPD might have when using the glasses but I do know that the blurry corners in my case was because there was an area around the edges of the prescription inserts that didn't cover the xreal air 2 pro glasses screen. For the viture xr pro I only use the dials and there's minimal or no blurry corners. So, at least in my case, if the prescription inserts cover the screen it helps with the blurry edges. Also, when I got my prescription inserts they did ask about the IPD so if this is taken into account for the prescription inserts then it should help 🤔. If possible, please do share once you get the prescription inserts and let us know how it went. I think that's a key part of the glasses that people often don't talk about. Not sure if because most people have 20/20 vision or because it's not widely tested. Thanks again! 😎

So why not talk about image sharpness in the corners and also field of view?
@FTACatch-up

thanks for stopping by and for your suggestion. I tried to cover a few aspects that are important but certainly there are parts that I miss in relatively short videos. In regards to blurry corners, I part one I briefly mentioned that the inserts were in my case a factor that would make blurry corners. I did experience blurry corners with the xreal air 2 pro but with the viture xr pro glasses I haven't had the blurry corners issues but, mind you, the experience might change from person to person. I've found myself that sometimes (not always!) the blurriness happened because the glasses became dirty or there was a vision problem that I was unaware of. What aspect of field of vision would you like to know a bit more about? I'm happy to share if I know. Thanks again! 😎

damm right question, I think the corner blur is biggest issue to me, or only me?
@FTACatch-up

thanks for your comment! 😎 I actually posted a video regarding image quality. Sometimes the blurry corners depend on the way the glasses fit. Is the blurry corner something you experience with the xreal or the viture glasses? Or both? 🤔

Is small text easier to read in one vs the other?
@FTACatch-up
@FTACatch-up Ай бұрын
Just to clarify, for both glasses it depends on your sight. There's no difference if you have 20/20 vision. If you only have myopia and a common IPD then the viture glasses offer the possibility of adjusting with the dial so small text looks clearer. For the xreal air 2 pro you would need the prescription inserts. That said, if you would like to make small text bigger you'd need to rely on the device that you have the glasses connected to. For example, if you connect either of the glasses to a computer, the screen will seem at the same distance. If you can't read small letters you could reduce the resolution of the screen to make the small letters (and everything else) look bigger. This works fine if you have myopia and a low degree or zero astigmatism and want to use the glasses without inserts

@@FTACatch-up I would get the prescription inserts with either one. Good to hear theres no difference with 20/20... some reviews say screen size is bigger on the Xreal
@FTACatch-up
@FTACatch-up Ай бұрын
@@AdityaAnand92 I'm aware that the xreal beam allowed to adjust the screen and that would make it look bigger. I believe the viture neckband allows the same. In any case, this simulates a bigger screen so the letters would relatively be bigger but you can also manage the size if connected to windows/mac os Here's an example of what I'm referring to kzbin.info/www/bejne/nZLNmKCuea1_g9Esi=WmoNypZL7Qre9e6e&t=104 Depending on your use case, be aware that at the time of writing the Viture xr pro has better app support for windows/mac os and android (the app actually works and you can even try and work with the glasses) Xreal air 2 pro has a more accurate colour Also, I felt the viture has a narrower/tighter fit in comparison to the xreal air 2 pro and that's why I prefer it but it depends on each person's head. Thanks for sharing! 😎

I'm nearsighted so the Viture win hands down for me. I bought the Xreal Air 2 Pro as my first XR glasses because they are sold on Amazon, but my nearsightedness makes everything slightly blurry. It is ok when watching a movie but I uses them to connect to my PC remotely through an iPad Mini and I can't read the text without considerable effort. I never had a problem with the Meta Quest 2/3, so I thought the XR glasses would be the same. Once I got the Viture Pro with the myopia adjustments knobs, I'm in heaven. The sound and color balance are better on the XReal Air 2 Pro, but this doesn't matter when the image isn't in focus for you. Viture also makes amazing accessories like the battery dock and Steam Deck bracket, but they also work with the XReal Air now. If you have 20/20 vision or wear contacts, I'd go with the XReal Air 2. I've not tried the Spacewalker App, so I can't comment on whether that is enough to move someone with good vision over to the Viture camp. I can't wait for these to move up to 1440p at some point in the future.

I totally agree with you. I was mentioning in my previous xreal Vs Viture video that these are my new favourites. I also think I'm in heaven because I don't need to use the inserts that become dirty quite quickly (in my case) and also not needing them make the glasses more compact.I hope Viture can correct the colour in futur firmware upgrades because it's the main thing for me that seems slightly worse in comparison. I found the sound similar particularly after the firmware update earlier in June. I think the pinning or anchor mode in nebula is less shaky than this mode with spacewalker but spacewalker has a nice 3d video player, have you tried it?. Thank you so much for sharing your experience and for stopping by 😎
