Yes, it does! It's completely black, but you do get some light bleed from the sides of the glasses of course

nice honest review man. it's nice to know that it can handle ps5 1080p on oled screen on precise 60fps. i hope they can also make a 120hz so it would much more buttery smooth on frame rates. it's worth it for the price.

I just ordered this to test them out for gaming, I got an iPhone so I really don’t care about the “ar” side of this, I’m getting them as a portable huge screen for on the go, my only complaint without having them yet is that the adapter has limited battery and not an option to plug it to the wall for longer use, i hope that the picture is clear and that also I can use it to following my online courses for graphic design/ photo editing and mayen while cooking, they are pretty expensive but if they work properly that way I might keep them and they would be worth it for me

Join the Nreal reddit! Tons of people finding workarounds for it! One that's popular there is the Rokid (also AR glass makers) has this splitter to both power (either with a brick or power bank) and send a video signal to the glasses as the same time! you'll need to get the Xreal Beam to be able to place the screen in 3D space, or use the nebula app. Otherwise the glasses just act as a monitor

What I really want to know is can you use the same type of cable for the Oculus Quest 2 to PC(usbc-fullsize 3.1 with DP over the usb3.1) can it handle the glasses.. the HDMI dongle for the glasses needs to be recharged which sucks, and no other reviewer has tested the glasses with that same class of cable you would use for the Quest to PC..

When you Connect the Nintendo switch to these glasses , Does the switch go in Docked Mode ??? The fact that the console is connected to the glasses to usbc ...maybe can make switch thinks It is a monitor , consequently the switch goes in Docked Mode giving us the full graphics performance/resolution... Am i Right ?? Could you confirm It please ?? Also if you use the Switch adapter (a dongle /adapter with 2 usbc ports )Will work the xreal adapter continuously? (Its Tiny battery of 2600mah wont last) Right??? Thank you very much

It only connects to the switch if you use the xreal adapter!

For example, you Connect the Steam deck to a dongle USBc adapter with 2 ports , and the Xreal adapter and the ac power adapter to the Dongle . IS It possible ?

the experience is VERY similar but theres a few differences. i think long term, the nreal will last longer because they rebranded to Xreal and are putting a LOT of money into the company. the rokids feel cheap but they work just as well tbh

If you're using it for the PS5 does it stay charged? Or does it run out of battery after a few hours? I travel for work and live in hotels and game for hours on my days off. It wouldn't be worth it if I can't use it all day.

at the moment I believe Xreal have the best of the best XR glasses 👍 the other's we've tested seem like the companies are dipping their toes in the market but Xreal has gone all-in with the tech including rebranding from Nreal to Xreal and releasing a new adapter for further accessibility! We'll have a comparison video once we have at least 5 XR glasses as well!

nope :( it's pretty much a wearable display, if it was wireless, you'd get unusable lag :(

I don't have one to test it but I do know they specifically only state next gen consoles as compatible. When I'm back in the studio on Monday, I'll check out a few other consoles and see how those work!

there's nothing to charge, they need to be powered. it's a compromise but the lack of a rechargeable battery keeps them lightweight and gives you multiple options to power them :0

I want them for gaming mainly, and while yes is disappointing that you need to charge the adaptar and can’t plug it to have more time, I also see it as maybe my other portable consoles they all last around 4 hours or less and I still need a break as long and I can play on a huge screen and be immersed like that is ok.

It's one of those things that those who can use it will know immediately! If you have access to a tv or monitor and a place to use them, they're very niche. But if you're a student in a dorm room or like you said, someone who travels, these can be very enticing. I've been using them as a type of picture in picture while I work on other things. Very over the top but I love em haha

Also if other people in the house wants to use the tv, this comes in handy. (Agreed, that in this case you are switching from 4k tv to just 1080p glasses is a compromise)

These will be good in future but for now just a gadget for people with some extra cash to burn PS5 or Series on 1080p glasses is just a big no. For phones and Switch I get it to a extent atleast. 5 years from now this new tech may interest me.

Agreed with most of what you said but you really need to see them to understand that a 1080p screen per eye this close really does look sharp! Also, 4k will bring up the price by a lotttt. BUT yeah, give it 5-10yrs and these will be the phone replacement in my book 👍👍

For the time, these are pretty dissapointing as an AR experience. Once you get passed the fact that it's only a screen and not a full AR experience, you get pretty disappointed. No hand tracking, no ultrawide or surround viewing for games such as forza. You're really getting a very VERY base AR kit that is really just a monitor. While that may sound okay, I can already do that or better with a VR headset. The tech on this just feels like a money grab.

yeah, it's pretty much a personal screen when used in that mode. the AR experience is tied to the app. It's priced to compete with the Oculus quest 2, which I also have, but personally, I'm using these AR glasses much more than the VR headset at the moment. It's really a matter of going with what you feel suits your situation best 👍

@@itcamefromabox I was looking at the light version and it says it also gives a full VR experience as well with hand gestures, yet I see no one reviewing that. It feels like the first device failed so they're capitalizing on the new one as more of a monitor which looks to me like a step back considering the features taken out. I couldn't find anything out about future releases though. Hopefully something more powerful, fully featured and comfortable is on the way. Though this is a better option than buying a new monitor I hate buying things more than once. I feel like that's what I'd be doing later after a better one came out.

@It Came From A Box I have the adapter. Received it today. Plugged the glasses and the xbox series x. Turned on adapter and it had two green lights. Put on the glasses and nothing. Press power button. Nothing. Tried google chromecast. Worked. Back to xbox and again nothing

@@yellowsmegma4269 The lights on the adapter are the battery life, did you try charging it via USBC first? we've tested it multiple times with the Xbox series x make sure when you plug it in you're on the menu
