Hopefully we hit the portal for a veteran LB. As it stands today, the LB unit is a 75-79 or a high C. If Lundy can play 15’s role and Murphy plays 4’s role we can bump that up to 81-85 or B. The talent just isn’t there to be an A unit. Secondary should be strong, but loosing Dent is going to hurt. I told my brother all last year, he’s not a game changer but he’s a field general that was always in the right spot. Brown needs to take his final step. Hopefully, Hussey wins the job but I think early in the year Brown will win due to experience. I’d throw Barker in as a LB/S hybrid at 6’3 220. Dline we are fine.

Not to overreact to the spring, but do you think Hussey could be a better fit at nickel if he continues to not understand where to be at safety. I know he's young and can certainly improve, but I feel like that spot would really suit him because it could really optimize his athletic abilities. He could get some time there behind Little and then take over next year

Think if the LB’s this year make the same check in the Clemson game it doesn’t result in a strip sack scoop and score. Idk if anybody has the closest speed of Delouch. In fact it’s probably safe to say nobody does.

I am surprised you guys didn't mention tackling by the Secondary. I thought the two best and surest tacklers were Green and Dent. I'm a little concern with AZ and Cypress tackling in open space and preventing a 5 yard catch that could turn into a big YAC.

That's definitely a huge concern and one that teams targeted last year. It got better by seasons end. Im planning on doing a solo on that this offseason

Yeah that's a great question. Believe it or not I do think there's more potential on the roster right now but I do think there's going to be some growing pains with Little and Hussey finding their footing in their new roles. There's more depth and more uncertainty. Renardo and Jarrian were really good players but they're also guys that were developed under this staff and I see that happening again with this new crop.

Hussey to LB. Derrick Brooks was a 220lb linebacker at best in college. Urlacher was safety to LB as well.

I thought Kalen was was really good at FSU only thing more we could’ve asked is for him to be flawless. Bethune when healthy was good and one of the smartest players on the field. No they are not Brooks, Jones or Telvin but they were good
