Tolles video Habe auch ne xt 600 3Tb und wollte den rahmen entrosten und neu lackieren+motor hättes du ein paar tipps wie man am besten anfängt bei auseinander bauen und schleifen ect?

Wir schleifen nicht, wir lassen strahlen und Kunststoffbeschichten. Für´s auseinanderbauen gibts ja irgendwie keine Tips ausser einfach loslegen...

Hi man, I want to try to replace the crankshaft of the SR400. I have seen the film of your XT600 engine. Is there not much difference between SR and XT? I have the SR500 crankshaft and the wiseco forged piston, thank you.

The sr500 xt 500 and tt 500 are the same engines with slight differences but will interchange

The Pyro dude is correct in his statement that the sr and xt are basically the same engines.But the crankshafts are lame timed in the sr's.But i would not go so far to asses that the parts are interchangable.-Only some are.All the cranshafts come in three different builds with the same partnumbers,they do not always match up or team-up with other engines. The same goes for the pistons,the standard pistons come in three sizes-, same item.

What did you do to the motor? Where did the parts come from and the overall cost to complete it?

Motor was in great shape internaly. Only new valves, timing chain, shaft seal rings, ignition parts and last new paintjob. All parts WWW All about 3000 € Most expensive were the new rims with stainless steel spokes.

Wow, was für ein gelungenes Projekt! Das habt ihr echt sehr gut hinbekommen (auch filmtechnisch! :-) Habe ebenfalls eine XT 500, Bj. 81, die jedoch glücklicherweise wesentlich gepflegter in meine Hände kam als eure da vor der Restauration. So ein Abenteuer brauch ich also ersteinmal nicht bestreiten. Zwei Dinge würden mich allerdings interessieren: 1. Habt ihr da nagelneue Felgen bekommen? Die sehen ja aus wie aus purem Gold! :-) 2. Ist das der selbe Tank geblieben? Die Delle scheint ihr rausbekommen zu haben, oder ist da doch noch etwas geblieben? Bin mir da nicht so ganz sicher bei 12:23min... Habe an praktisch der gleichen Stelle ebenfalls eine Delle vom Vorbesitzer vermacht bekommen.... Viel Spaß mit dem Klassiker und gute Fahrt wünscht Jens aus FfM

Moin 1. Ja die Fegenringe sind neu. Die alten sahen von aussen gut aus, waren aber innen nur noch alter Keks. Die mussten weg. 2. Ja, ganz raus ist die Delle nicht gegangen aber auf dem Video sieht es schlimmer aus als es ist. Man muss schon sehr genau hinsehen um sie noch zu entdecken. Warum das im Video so aussieht als wäre sie noch so wie vorher weiss ich nicht. Ganz im Gegenteil sieht es im Video sogar so aus als wäre direkt über dem X noch eine dazu gekommen... :-( Danke für deinen Kommentar und viel Spass mit der 500er

Also, Enduro und Dellen/ Beulen/Kratzer- gehören doch zusammen wie Feuer und Hitze. Oder habe ich da als langjähriger Geländefahrer etwas falsch verstanden? Allerdings, wer zum Angeben vor der Eisdiele eine "Schiki- miki" -Enduro mit Saisonkennzeichen braucht.........

Moin, echt cooles Video und ne geile Restauration. Ich hab auch noch eine XT500 bei mir in der Garage stehen, seit mehr als 20 Jahren nicht mehr bewegt und sieht ähnlich aus wie eure am Anfang. Mich würde interessieren, was ihr am Motor alles gemacht habt und wie viel das ungefähr gekostet hat.

Kolben erste Übergrösse, Zylinder schleifen und planen, ein neues Ventil, alle Lager und Dichtungen neu, grundieren und lackieren, ein paar Neuteile. Wir haben nicht auf eine einzige Rechnung geschaut um nicht die Lust zu verlieren... ;-) Das ganze Moped hat über den Daumen ca 3000€ verschlungen

@@japadej3123 Die Nadel kann man abnehmen wenn man den Tacho vorsichtig anwärmt. Verschlossen haben wir die Instrumente mit einem Draht. Das ging besser als gedacht. Kann man bei 3:38min auch erahnen.
