Xtool A30M. New Software Update. Look before you Update.

The New Software has very nice Graphics. The Problem is that not everything that is Beautiful is Good.
In terms of operation it is disappointing. at least at this point.
This is strictly my Opinion.

My 3 month old a30m crash won't up date and won't communicate with dongle.ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app.on 3 different android devices all it says is network anomaly and trying to get customer support is a joke

Hi, your videos are really helpful and i really appreciate your time helping us, i am beginner in this stuff but i really like it, i have the next problems scan with xtool a30m on golf mk6 2009 2.0 tdi 140hp: rear light are with led light and some time they are working 100% some times let say in the middle of the strip not working 3 led light, sometimes in the end, some times flashing like on the chrimas tree half of the and i reciving next misstake on xtool: -00979 right low beam headlamp bulb - open circuit/short circuit to B+ (active/static) -00987 left tail light lamp - open circuit/short circuit to B+ (pasive/sporadic) -00988 right brake light bulb - open circuit/short circuit to B+ (pasive/sporadic) -01496 left fog light lamp - open circuit/short circuit to B+ (active/static) -01499 right high beam hradlamp - open circuit/short circuit to B+ (active/static) -01500 right fog light lamp - open circuit/short circuit to B+ (active/static) what do you think the issue is? many thanks

@@YOYODiagnostic sometimes it's needed for the app to access more advanced features of the hardware. I don't know about this specific situation, but I know with the wifi analyzer app, it needs location permissions because the wifi radio is tied into that permission. to do more with wifi than just access the internet, it needs that location permission. it's a bad design, but that's how it is.

I got xtool ez400pro, which does not diagnose any car now, it gives "Failed to Communicate error" tried to reset to factory settings and updated everything but still not working 😢

I was using my one plus phone at first but was having Bluetooth connection issues. Once I started using a Samsung a7 tab the connection problems and delays went away. Downloading to my D7 took longer the A30M to the tablet. I haven’t had either long enough to have an opinion on if the update is better or not because I have no comparison. I’m very happy with the A30M and it’s price point. Discount code and coupons won’t work with Black Friday prices but will work combined on normal flash sales making the price as much as 50% off.

Your English is fine, the program is crashing when it goes away. Wonder if you reboot your tablet it may have a more positive result. I am looking to purchase the Xtool A30M because of live data and actuation for the most part on Toyota and Mercedes, and maybe a few other brands going to watch more of your videos. I am retiring and have no diag equipment to use now as I did before at dealer. Thank you. I subscribed.

@@YOYODiagnostic The A30M seems to be for me something a retired mechanic can afford these days, not doing anything crazy like at dealership. the graphs I think will be key in the future, but activation of sending signals to do emission will be helpful. As seen in past just because there is a code doesn't mean that part is bad. Waiting for some more of your videos hopefully you will be doing a o2 sensor graph. I take it this A30M doesn't do can network graphing.

It depends what you want to do with it. The price is 180 euros and you have unlimited updates, so you don't pay anything annually. If you want to pay 180 euros and do coding, you won't find anything original.

@@YOYODiagnostic I'm disappointed in the review I feel like that is the scan tool to have for the do-it-yourselfer because it is exactly the same as the D7 is fully capable less than tablet you just provide your own tablet now what I did find is that your review spelled the product to be limited slow moving and not a good choice what I wanted to see was that you had took the time to figure it out before displaying it instead you were frustrated and had nothing working out

When they made that new software it had problems but now we are 10 months later, that was the point sorry you didn't get it. Every video I make is real, I don't get paid to lie to people and I don't make money from selling products. This Xtool product has a lot of problems with Special Functions and regarding the tablet used in the video, it has 6GB of RAM, so far no original Xtool tablet uses more than 4GB of RAM, and this memory is available on a tester that cost 1500 euros. On the D7 and D8 it's only 2GB of RAM. I don't understand you, what is your problem? Are you a seller and you don't like that your customers sell that this product also has problems?

Had the new software update, now its not connecting to the VCI, even when I connect the USB cable to the VCI directly. No connection. Trying to get hold of support with xTool from there direct website.. Guess what ? No reply. Sent loads of email not a singal reply 🤯.. there's no help😡

(it worked) but the Bluetooth connection not showing on the VCI (*) sorry, IT'S an A80 MASTER comes with DB9 cable which connect via USB connection, aslo has the cable connection directly) the update - scan a lot faster, better then the old version 😀.. but the worrying issue is when you email support, directly to the official xTool manufacture they done even reply, very bad customer support... thanks for the support community KZbin 👍

Hello. One of the tablets I use is from TECLAST (Chinese company but original product), has android 10, 6gb Ram +128 GB. The important thing is that the tablet you use has a new generation Android so that you can run the data at high speed.

@@YOYODiagnostic after doing more research on this i found someone who tried this on 5 different platforms from high speed lots of storage to $40 walmart surf tablet and shocking they all ran the app at same speed? therfore he recomended the $40 walmart surf tablet.even though it has lees gb storage then higher end tablets it had less used up space as the apps and programs u cant remove take up 1/3rd of space. the a30m with all updates installed will take up a little over 8gb of space.with nothing else installed on walmart cheap surf tablet you will hae used up 1/3rd of space so you have wiggle room for other apps

@@pigeonsil240sx I'm not an expert in tablets but I recommend at least Android 10 and 4-6 GB RAM. You can never compare the quality offered by Samsung and Huawei. I have a tablet from Samsung 2019 and the battery lasts up to 7 days when I use the tablet for diagnosis and the one from Teclast lasts only 2 days. If you want a cheap tablet, I don't know how to advise you because I'm not the right person for this topic.

Hello. I will answer your question with another question: How much are you willing to pay (what is your maximum budget) for a diagnosis and what do you want to do? 1. It matters a lot what use you want to have. 2. It depends on what kind of tester you want to have hobby or profeaional. 3. If you want professional Launch is by far the best (but it is also expensive). I don't advertise to anyone. I say that from experience Launch is very good at scanning and coding and Autel for programming( but it works very slowly and you have the impression that when it scans it works on a PC with XP and not on an Android). I will make a Launch video in the future, and with other diagnoses as well.

that's not how it works. location on a phone (or probably tablet) would use gps or cell towers to find the location of the device. vpn wont help when an app is asking for location permissions. the app doesn't really need to know the location in the first place. there are other things the device is doing which also falls under the location permission. the wifi analyzer app for instance, it needs location permissions because advanced wifi features fall under this permission. it's misleading and bad design, but this is how it is.

@@flipinfin the location permission does more than just "location". his cheap tablet is still probably better hardware than what is inside a $2000 scan tool.
