Brilliant explanation as ever. Thanks for creating the maths tool too. I've received my tilt mechanism, what a game changer, The only negative was that as it came from the US, I got hit by customs processing costs which were about the same as the product itself.

Thank you so much! I wish that I could help more with some of the taxes different countries impose but sadly it is out of my control :( Really happy you're enjoying the tool though!

Amazing! Thank you… what type of printed martial is so good engraveable?

I've tested several brands of black PLA - eSun, Elegoo, and Bambu Lab Basic PLA and all of them mark well with these settings, colors other than black are very hit or miss

This is great. Thank you. Great work. What are your laser settings to do this on 3D prints?

Got a side question for you...... would you know the settings to do zippo lighters
@EmbraceMaking7 ай бұрын
What machine are you using and I assume the lighters are stainless steel?

@@EmbraceMaking Xtool F1, im assuming it's stainless. I was thinking about using the metal business card setting or dog tag.

@@EmbraceMaking zippo calls it street chrome. Dull color.

I don't have any zippos on hand to try but if they are stainless - on the XTOOL site they have settings for the F1 using the IR laser at 80% power, 550mm/s (seems high?), 200 lines/cm for vector files, and 60% power (no speed setting?) and 450DPI, 150 dot duration with JARVIS for bitmap files.... and then interestingly for stainless dog tags they have different settings like 100% power , 50mm/s , 300 lines/cm for vector files... so I would probably lean towards the dog tag settings as the speed seems sufficiently slow to mark something like stainless. www.xtool.com/pages/material-settings

Why does your xtool creative space look different then the lastest version I'm running on windows? You seem to have much more features

Have you updated to creative space 2.0? It was released a few weeks ago

First thing to check would be make sure your RA2 is on the right side of the machine, next check that you're using the chuck and not the rollers and make sure in creative space you're also selected the chuck and not the rollers, I'd start there.
