I'm definitely getting an F1 myself - I've been considering the path I want to take my business - I had the option of "Going big" or "going small", because I only have enough liquid capital for one machine. I chose small, because of the sheer portability of the unit - I can take it to an artisans market or an event and do products while they wait, or I can even do "call-out" jobs, like if someone wants something engraved on a letterbox that has already been installed on their property, with the help of a mobile generator.

This is very cool. Doesn't need any specific set space to keep it. You could just get it out when you need it the put it away.

Is it possible to put items larger then the engraving space on there to be engraved. Say you want to engrave a name onto a cutting board. Because if you can only engrave on small items then it wouldn’t be too useful for me.

great video, does this machine creates a marking or etching or it does create real depth when engraving? I want my tumblers to look as if they have 2 layers, not just to feel and look as if someone just scratched them or drew them with a sharp object.

I'm working on some bottle openers that have a black, possibly powder coated finish on them. I've found the best result is to run 1 pass with the blue laser, then 1 pass with the I.R. However, the issue is I need to be able to have it do pass 1 in blue laser, pass 2 with IR. Doing batches. Is there a way you have found to have it set up to do pass 1 in blue, pass 2 with IR without going to the program and manually switching the laser each pass? As it is now, I'm running a batch 1 at a time in blue laser, then put each back in the jig for pass 2 under I.R. And of course from moving I get a bit of ghosting now and then. Hence the need to have it just do 1 pass with each laser pr run. Ideas?

I like that it has a small footprint - just right for a crowded and small workshop. If they could figure out how to put a small rotary attachment on there for engraving pens it would be a perfect solution for me.
