xTool P2S: The Best Desktop CO2 Laser Becomes Better

Is anything on the P2S able to be put into the P2? For example, can you buy the PS2 Pump and intergrate it into the P2, or is it entirely build differently? Would be nice if the shells/mounting was universal, allowing for users to DIY upgrade their P2 exhaust to the P2S exhaust, have a upgrade kit to add the red optical laser to the P2, etc etc. That way a user who is on the crafty/techy side, has the ability to "upgrade bits" without having to consider selling the entire unit for a couple features. Either way, Glad to see advancements from Xtool!

Excited to see a new product which addresses some of the basic design flaws in the p2, but for someone who's hasn't been able to get their P2 working since it was delivered (6 weeks ago, now waiting for replacement parts) it's quite bitter sweet

I fixed the fan problem with my friends p2 by attaching a vacuum from harbor freight onto it and having the back end got to a fume extractor. Definitely solved the fume problem

I am an experienced s1 owner. If you would like to have an objective assessment of the new P2S, then I like to test it on a wide variety of materials. I would do that.

Can you turn off the air assist during engraving? Biggest complaint about my P2 and the reason why I might switch away from Xtool

Can adjust it to 30-100, but can not turn it off, for P2S, can do 10-100.

Just received our p2 about a month ago. Now it's outdated and we haven't even used it yet. Not real happy about that. Should of had these upgrades from the beginning. This machine wasn't thought out before production.

Ugh just bought the p2 / F1 bundle and now there is a F1 ultra and a P2S. Mad that I didn’t wait a bit longer. Starting my business now and the F1 Ultra would have been so much better. And now the News that the P2 gets upgraded 😢😢😢😢

Your goal now - get your business to pay for itself with what you have. Then invest in the upgrade, and sell your old machines to cover a portion of the new machines. So a hobbyist can get your old machines, cheaper and more available to start with, than a massive starting investment of full price.

It's expensive because xtool is the only company that makes laser machines with the features that they do. Unfortunately they probably have patents covering these features so other companies can't make machines that do the same for less.

It's a CO2 laser, which is one of the most expensive laser types from all laser brands. While other brands may offer similar power and features, xTool has already made the price relatively affordable.
