@@silverhawkscape2677 It was before we got Blade, DHIL and Jingliu. All three of them don't get atk from their traces all the other destruction characters did and so you overcapped on it. Stacking atk has diminishing returns.

You’d want the Quantum set over the Theif set, though extra break effect is nice defense penetration is just better especially since her bonus damage only scales on a 1:1 ratio.

@@space5828 Yea would have to do the calculations but 32% break effect and damage up seems sizable. Will also depends on how the rest of the pieces roll. Target is about 180 Break, then she has the 240% at E4 buff and woth RM. I'm farming theif rn anyway for RM and will have to see if I get any good pieces. A hybrid set is just so stat hungry. Want the Break, Crit rate, Crit damage, attack and speed still.

@@space5828 Most likely but will have to see the hit count on her follow up too. I see 3 sets as possibles. Quantum with the 20% ignore defense will probaly be the best with good sub stats. Then second place will be the thief set or Duke set if her followup has a high hit count like 4-6 maybe, but her ult is where her damage is at. My accounts only like 2 weeks old so just hit E4 today so trying to farm efficiently to get a couple units a baseline ok gear then I'll farm for optimal sets, Argenti, Clara, RM and Xueyi for the physichal and theif sets for example.

Ruan Mei already boosts allies' break effect, so you could balance her build between crit/attack/break effect and just run them both together with another dps unit (at this point any dps unit will benefit)

It works yes but I don't see any particular chemistry between Xueyi and Blade Dual DPS is viable but personally I think you should want a level of synergy between the dps's like with Jingliu and Blade

@@sadiauddin8701when jingliu is in her enhanced state, her attacks drain health of the whole team. This hp drain triggers blade’s talent, allowing him to use his follow up attack way more often

Usually you trigger this with his own abilities, but since Jingliu's kit involves draining teammates HP, it also helps trigger Blade's talent more often. Basically, Jingliu allows Blade to deal more dmg and this double DPS is viable bc the total team dmg is high bc of that

She's quite interesting, she's similar to Qingque but also different as she trades her atk bonus and relic slot stats that would be used for more cd for Break Effect and a higher Dmg Bonus while also being more single target focused as the bulk of her dmg will be from her ult despite her skill being an AOE hit. She also gets a large dmg boost from her talent but in a different way since it's a follow up. I wonder how her damage per turn will compare to Qingque in practice though. I expect to see big damage numbers but for them to be less often since as mentioned its mainly from her ult and while Qingque uses a lot of Skill Points, in a team centered around her it ends up as not a big deal

I agree with like 90% of what you are saying, I just disagree with one thing. Silver Wolf should be put on her team or even Pela. DEF shred is huge for Mei and Xueyi. Yes, a SPD/ATK would be good, but the raw amount of dmg Silver Wolf enables for Mei and SW/Pela should not be overlooked. This will also make quantum set work ALOT better on her (especially if you have E1 Mei too).

Assuming you run Speed boots and have Ruan Mei in the team, you'd need only 7 speed from substats to reach 145 speed

Math doesn't crunch for me. With 10% speed increase from Ruan Mei, Xueyi has 113 speed + 25 from boots for 138. You need 7 more speed stats to reach 145.

Damage % bonus is the same as Elemental Damage bonus. So they stack additively. Because she gives herself such a giant amount of Damage % bonus, giving her an elemental orb won't add that much more in comparison. So atk orb scales better for her specifically. Most characters don't have access to truly insane levels of damage % bonus so elemental orb is best for most dpses.

I mentioned very briefly in the video, but to maximize damage output you want to balance out ATK% and DMG%. There's a long winded explanation for why exactly that I've done on the channel for Genshin. But there's also a comment someone left on this video that explains it!

Could check if other bounce attacks work differently while Numby is under the effect of Topaz''s ult, but I know regular multi-hit attacks don't repeatedly trigger the Action Forward effect, whether they're FUAs or other types of attacks.

To summarize, for example, you can reach around 380% Bonus Damage for her Ultimate (incluiding Ruan Mei), so a Quantum Orb that gives 38.9% Quantum Damage (that is Bonus Damage), only increases your total Bonus Damage by almost 10%. While, an Attack Orb, will increase her Attack between 18~25% (depending if she is buffed or not), and Attack is part of her Base Damage, that is then multiplied by her insane Bonus Damage, followed by Crit Damage.

TL;DR Build your characters with balance in stats 😉 The explaination: I'll awnser an overaching question for you so you can understand how to build any character by checking their kit: The best efficiënt use of stat points in the damage formula is to devide them as equal as humanly possible. Crit is not better than atk, dmg bonus is not better than attack. The reason we generally care more about those for OTHER characters is because we generally have too much attack and less access to the other stats by comparison. To illustrate: If you have 9 stat points to devide between attack × dmg bonus × critdmg The highest product is always reached by dividing them equally: 3×3×3=27 Take any point and put it anywhere else, and now you get comparative diminishing returns. 4×3×2=24 5×3×1=15 4×4×1=16 With that in mind Xueyi is currently the ONLY character who should have an abundant amount of dmg% in her kit. Putting more will give you the 5×3×1 result, which is why attack and crit will be the lacking stats that you need more of to balance her out and optimize the dmg formula.

She does have the potential to be a good DPS but i believe saying that she is Qingque level would be a bit of an overstatement. Qingque is almost a 5 star character and i doubt they would make the mistake of making a 4 star character as strong as her again, let alone one with the exact same element.

It’s not really an overstatement if the comparison is just how strong a unit is compared to another rarity, considering that we still have numerous 4 stars that are as good as 5 stars, like Pela who’s better than SW in most content due to her having aoe def shred, and the 4 star harmony characters. The thing that makes QQ so good is that she basically doubles her damage via her fua, this is similar to Xuiye who does the same with her BE. The only real reason why Xuiye would be weaker is just LC options as QQ can make use of every single Erudition option to great effect, whereas Xuiye doesn’t make many LC options with LCs such as Blade’s and JL’s being inconsistent since she can’t lower her Hp, and IL’s not being as useful as FoaA because she doesn’t need the energy regen

Not an overstatement at all. She ignores weakness types, scales of BE for DMG% and has much more consistency than QQ. QQ will probably still do more damage on an optimal setup. But Xueyi will be more flexible, more consistent and be comfier to use because of how easily she will break opponents and delay the hell out of them because she is stacking so much break on top of being quantum. So she will be a better overall unit to play in both the hyper carry slot or to have as a sub DPS. And she's better at lower eidolons. QQ needs at least E4, Xueyi is crazy at every eidolon level.

She scales off BE for damage %. So she does have it built in and doesn't have to deal with annoying RNG and skill point stuff. QQ might still do more, but at the cost of the RNG. Xueyi will be much more consistent, better at lower eidolons and is much more flexible in terms of team composition.

@@lamsyy3931 eh I think based off everything that's been shown officially and through dreams it's hard to say that definitively. Which is why I said QQ MIGHT still do more. Cause E4+ QQ IS crazy. But yea there is a good chance with a proper build she's just straight out damaging her as well. Gotta keep in mind QQ damage is just so RNG reliant. You ideally want to skill a couple times before you get the enhanced auto to buff up that damage %, and if you do it 4x it's insane, but pretty unlikely you go that deep. We'll just have to wait for live and testing, but I think Xueyi will undoubtedly be the better overall unit, just not sure if her damage ceiling is as high as QQ.

@@nikonFB1988 oh yea i get what you're saying, Leak showcases have shown that E6 Xueyi can deal around as much damage as E6 QQ, if not more thanks to the insane synergy she has with RM. So even if she didn't outdamage her by much, just the fact that Xueyi doesn't rely on rng, is more versatile in terms of SP, and can also be used as a breaker with the huge delay and entanglement damage she inflict (without even having to sacrify her normal damage for that) makes her an overall way better option. At least imo.

It is better, because on substats you only want crit stats. And you get you break effect from every other source possible. Dont hunt break subs. With all the dmg bonus she gets, crit subs are much more impactfull to increasing her dps.
