I got this pad in just under a month. Xymox shipping is fine. less than a month for a hand assembled custom product is fantastic shipping time. Xymox no longer orders wholesale product. The vast majority of the negative reviews are because people expect to get their pad as fast as any stock product and are generally frustrated and freaked out when it takes a while to make a custom product with high demand. you'll get your pad soon. don't stress about it. the quality makes it worth the wait.

this pad is awsome if you lean it on a table and let the snares hangover it sound just like a real drum

electric yellow. and it's kicking awesome. by far my favorite of the 4 i've seen in person.

the laminate is still as good as the day i recieved it, which was june 6th last year. and the lugs and rim are completely removable. the lugs are not "adjustable" because the pad is not under tension. the lugs are a visual addition and they also hold the rim to the pad base. but they don't change the sound of the drum. you can remove them and install them on the back of the pad, which is great if you have a double sided pad. but i don't, so removing the rim is the only real option for me.

the contact noise is actually not all that loud. altogether, it is quieter than any pad with a laminate. it's quieter than most pads, except the HQ real feel ones that you can hardly hear. the snare sound isn't that loud, but it's pretty dynamic, so you can hear it from up close but far away it's the only thing you hear.

i mean people that have the black one say it scuffs fast too, because the CF gloss when it comes off is really easy to see on the black one. that's actually why i got the white one.

Best thing I realized: You'll never need another pad again.. Once the laminate wears down, you just get a new one for $15 hehe love it!!! Can't wait to get mine and my Hybrid(:

you'll find most products that you drop on the ground end up with dents in them. I guess i may have been misleading in my statement. My definition of "it's probably gonna be fine" is that it will still be 100% functional.

i mean, i don't spill things on my drumpad, so i don't know if any of them stain easy. but i've been using some water, a paper towel, and the occasional spitshine and it looks peachy.

Articulateness. Tabletopesque. I learned two new words today! Thanks for your review. I've had an Invader-3 for around two years now and was looking for another feel and sound for my video productions. I have the VF Slimpad and the VF Stockpad as well as the 2-sided VF gray/black. So this looks and sounds like the best of the newer pads on the market. Your review helped me. Thanks and keep on drumming! Dennis

it's smaller. i think the playing area is around 12 inches, (i don't have it with me). It's definitely smaller, but i find that even though i'm used to larger pads, not having the extra inch or two doesn't change my playing at all. and it feels natural to me. for sure it's heavy as crap though. more than a typical drum pad.

you can hear them. you just don't realize it's them because the sound quality the camera is capable of recording is not even close to the actual sound in the room. trust me. you'll hear them. and you'll like them. if you don't, then tell the company and send it back, because they're probably the coolest people ever and they'll bend over backwards to make you happy as a customer.

My pad was shipped to me as a gift. I don't know when it was ordered. but i do know ROUGHLY that it took slightly less than a month. It was also ordered during a BOGO sale and the company was also flooded with custom orders during that time. so your order time will probably be shorter. I'd say depending on where you live, between a week and two weeks.
@sad.cowboy12 жыл бұрын
Actually, its not THAT bad... But I have noticed that it doesn't feel so good with the rim on. If you unscrew the lugs and take the rim off, you'll notice that the pad will feel MUCH better. Anyways, in my opinion, I'd stick with OffWorld Percussion's Invader V3 pads... But that's me. Others may feel different.
@Supernova32512 жыл бұрын
this one. they're both great. but this one is better. the xymox ID pad is loud as crap, and it brings out your dirt a LOT, because the laminate is so stiff.
@Supernova32512 жыл бұрын
well, you won't get it by christmas ;D. I would say prepare to wait a month. especially right after christmas. their general off season guarantee is a one week production time and then however long it takes to ship. right now, it's probably longer, because they have a ton of christmas orders to fill.
@Supernova32512 жыл бұрын
they do have that look about them, don't they? i can confidently assure you that this pad is not even in the same universe as the old remo pads in the area of rebound, longevity, sturdiness, and volume.

xymoxpercussion... add a [.com] on the end because utube won't let me post web adresses. or ebay. except normally you cant find stuff like this on ebay, because they're good and people who buy them keep them.

half the snare line at my school owns invaders, and they all still ask to use my pad when we pad out. I personally think it's better than an invader, and i've played and used both extensively. let me put it this way, i've never heard somebody play it and then decide the invader was better. it's always either "their both great" or "this pad beats everything".

clean it the same way you clean anything else. with a rag and whatever gets the crap off of it. i think Invader is to blame for people feeling like cleaning a pad should require some special solution or something. same rebound, more realistic rebound feel. better articulation. significantly better.
@Supernova32512 жыл бұрын
i mean, not really. it's kind of like getting marks on the bottom of your skateboard when you grind a lot. they mean you're practicing, and where they are on the board tells you if you suck or not. they aren't bad for the pad that i know of. but they don't show up on the white carbon fiber NEARLY as much as on the black carbon fiber. i know water and a cloth help, but that's about it.
@hc102612 жыл бұрын
Hi ! That looks pretty cool !! I`m wondering will the white surface get dirty easily ? If so,how to clean it ? And does it gives the player more rebounce the an Invader V3 ? How about the articulation (better then V3) ? Thanks bro !!

Drumset chops are almost completely different from drum corps chops. And don't dare say BR could hang with world class drum corps drummers today with his technique and experience if he was still alive and at his prime. Also, practice pads are meant for travel purposes and are less quieter than regular marching snares.

Hey! I had a quick question. I've tried to research, but I can't really find a way to get stick marks off of the laminate. You can clean it and they disappear from plain sight, bit still are visible in light. Did you find a way to actually get rid of the marks entirely? -thanks man
