Thank you for mentioning trans people! As a trans person I often don’t feel included in conversations about this sort of stuff. There’s a lot of cis people that I watch that still use cisnormative language and it’s irritating to say the least. So thank you thank you thank you!! Hope your BV is on the way to getting better.

Oral is a requirement, regardless of the sex of my partners. I do know some soap products, like bubble bath and some of the mass market bar soaps will make me raw in a flash. Oral never has. My mom was a L&D nurse fussed at our partners to wash their hands before touching us. Made all kinds of sense.

As a trans woman with a new cat, we absolutely get BV! And as someone who has been intimate with many other trans women also in possession of a cat, as well as cis women, I can say that the juices are very similar lol. I don't know the exact rates but we definately need more studies!!

I get really suspicious of publications that purport demographic differences in health outcomes that don't include normalization for economic background or educational level. Glad to see they accounted for bubble baths, I guess.
