Full explanation of Yi Jin Jing 易筋經 / ИЦзиньЦзин - recorded during a Qi Gong Retreat in July 2018 at the Shaolin Temple Europe 歐洲少林寺 located in Otterberg / Kaiserslautern in Germany.
Shaolin Yi Jin Jing is a method to develop strong and flexible muscles and tendons. It is therefore also called "Muscle and Tendon Change Classic".
The 12 Exercise / Posture Names are:
1) Wei Tuo Presenting The Pestle (Frontways)
2) Wei Tuo Presenting The Pestle (Sideways)
3) Wei Tuo Presenting The Pestle (Upwards)
4) Plucking Stars On Each Side
5) Pulling 9 Cows By Their Tails
6) Displaying Claws and Spreading Wings
7) 9 Ghosts Drawing Swords
8) Placing 3 Plates On The Floor
9) Black Dragon Shows It's Claws
10) Tiger Jumping On It's Prey
11) Bowing Down In Salutation
12) Swinging The Tail
It belongs to the classic repertoire of Qi Gong exercises in the Shaolin Arts around the globe. Together with the 8 brocades (Ba Duan Jin) and the meditative circular movements (Chan Yuan Gong) it gives a strong foundation to complete all martial exercises.
Every year there are several retreats that are taking place in the Shaolin Temple Europe 歐洲少林寺, the monastery where I am living.
A retreat can either be a 3-day Retreat (Friday - Sunday) or a 6-day Retreat (Monday - Saturday). Every retreat is held under a specific topic, such as: Gong Fu, Qi Gong (e.g. Ba Duan Jin, Yi Jin Jing, 13 Luohan), Meditation retreats and Rou Quan retreats.

My 12 year old granddaughter has PTSD, she’s been searching for ways to find inner peace & also how to protect herself. She was excelling in an other form of MA, but she felt something was missing. She kept asking for traditional training, the owner got angry and allowed an older kid to attack her from behind, long story short. Granddaughter showed honor and respect, however she lost respect for the instructor. She respects your personal/spiritual level of intelligence and movements of energy & flow. She’s figured out how to move the negative energy with grace and dignity, as well as self protect. Thanks for sharing and touching with such positive energy. Many blessings!

For decades I have been a Tai Chi/Qi Kong practitioner experiencing some relief from injuries suffered in military service , but when I turned 68 seven years ago I discovered this transformative routine. Literally my muscle & tendons have changed, i.e., lesions have stretched out, muscular "knots" have dissolved!!! I practice Yi Jin Jing every day minimum four (4) repetitions of the twelve (12) exercises. Often, in the morning I practice Ba Duan Jin as a warm-up/invigorating routine and follow with Yi Jin JIng later in the morning or as an afternoon practice; and close the day with Chan Yuan Gong, meditative circular movements. I cannot stress how effective these exercises are and how humble & thorough a teacher Shi Heng Yi is. We are all blessed by his gifts freely bestowed upon us. @@heea6529 I do them like three times a day. One sequence through the 13 takes two minutes, so total 6 minutes if I don't feel like doing more, which I usually do. But it is impressive what you're writing about your changes. I've started doing the Yi Jin Jing too, and seeing your story makes me more inspired to continue establishing it as a habit.

I am recovering from 4 hip surgeries that started in 2018, after 4 years of feeling pain every day I found this routine ( Yi Jin Jing ) and like magic my pain almost totally disappeared and I am feeling great again. When I was a Young Lad I’ve been working very hard and had two vertebral sphincters… after that, almost every few month, I was laying in bed for a week from pain, injections worked only for few hours. But when I find out about Yi Jin Jing and started to practice it, You can believe me or not My pain was gone!!! And now I forgotten what that pane is, I never ever had same problem again. Thanks to You Shifu, I bow my head to the ground, I’m so thankful for Your teachings, bcs of Your Teachings my body and soul is in harmony and I feel no pain and I never loose control in stressful situation. Showers of blessed Frequencies 🙏☀️❤️

Having spent the last five years mostly at home caring for sick family members I started to have stress induced memory issues and a body full of aches and pains. These gentle movements reinvigorated me. Gentle , simple and needing no special equipment ( not to mention very little space) A God send really, This man truly saved me. Thank you

Thank you Shifu for this practice as a 68 year young woman. Who had two prolapsed discs in my lower back Dr’s said oh you are older accept it. Yes I am older and to cure myself I hung out of a door to fix my prolapsed discs painful yes but now it's gone. I can do Qigong thanks to you shifu blessings from Ireland 🇮🇪

17 Nov. 2023. I did Ba-Duan-Jin and Wu-Song all last year. Plus got some good posture/shoulder/neck/knees/heart/breath. Was a good year. This year I'm adding this. Slowly slowly... I'm eyeing Wu-Bu-Quan and 14 Virtues too for this year.

Hi, what I like about this teacher, is the calm time of his voice. It's easy to listen too, therefore you want to hear what he says, listening carefully to everything then to try the movements/exercises themselves. After 25+ vehicle accidents, I am hearing/feeling the discs (unclog), Thank you Master. I have refused treatment pharmaceuticals or otherwise. This helped instantly. Only coming here after I've memorized Ba Duan Jin was great advice.

I wish so badly that I could train with you sifu. I did so much damage to my body in my teens and twenties. I am thirty now and I am on the right track. rebuilding my legs with Chinese kung fu, mainly wing chun. siu nim tao has saved my life. I have no proper teachers where I live so I take what I can from what is given from healers like you on youtube. I always thought hard but in this year have been realizing I needed to be soft and internal. I will learn what I can from your videos and practice with gratitude. xiexie sifu. amituofo!

One has to understand, body limitations, and follow instructions to the letter. If he says don't bend that way, don't. After studying Karate for over 30 years, and having many injuries from misconceptions on stretching, I feel that these stretches may stretch, strengthen and relax my sore muscles and tendons. Many oral medicines make people feel worse. Soon, or later, we will feel, something is not working the same. When something is good, we can feel it fast. Being healthy is one of the most important things in life. I was not able to follow everything, but I followed as much as I could. I loved this video. Right away I felt good with it.

Loving this teachings and the way they are given, I practice also yoga and meditation, following a program at the moment on line, going to the ashram in India wasn’t an option. My goal is this year to go to the monastery if they accept me and learn this teachings, it’s my dream and my wish and on my bucket list. So fingers crossed that my dream will come true ❤❤❤❤❤

average at the moment sounds fantastic... especially after putting my body through as much abuse as I have in the last 30 years. After taking corrective action 3 years ago, I am starting to see how feeling ok or feeling average can be a beautiful thing.... when youve suffered as much as i have, the life of being content is all I aim for.... patience and enthusiasm is the key

same here hombre. I also have done a lot of hurt to my body. I deal with a lot of regret but with Chinese kung fu, right mind, and fight fist I feel I am getting my body, mind, and life back. I can do it and so can you! amituofo!

Your explanation of what this training does to the spine was very clear. Now I understand why Master Bodhidharma told his students to complete this before Cleansing the bone marrow :-)

Chcę serdecznie podziękować. Cudowne proste ćwiczenia dla każdego, próbuję własne dzieci przekonywać, zachęcać do praktykowania. Trudno jest słuchać i patrzeć kiedy to młodzież odczuwa dolegliwości - za wcześnie na takie problemy. Jeszcze raz jestem wdzięczna za ten szczególny filmik. Pozdrawiam i do zobaczenia.

Thank you Shi Heng Yi, I just discovered these videos and am enjoying deeply... particularly in this one the so clear explanation. I am not a young man and have been last years looking fordward to improve this body's qualities doing exercices, once in a while anything almost cracks (ha!). Years ago practiced a bit Tai-Chi and Qi Gong so I may now see Shaolin awarness in profound care may do a whole change. I am grateful for your dedication /\
