As someone who actually been there and test drove it.I gotta say The Xiaomi SU7 is a proper car.Due to policy and emission regulations,Chinese manufacturers really Devoted themselves into EV vehicles. So many companies are competing with each other, providing tech solutions to big companies like Xiaomi. You can literally say there is no difference between building a car and building a Lego in China, just matter of money.
I’ve owned a su7 max for about 2 weeks now (I have a company in China and spend a lot of time there), very much agree with the understeer comment, it reminds me of my b8 rs5, understeery yet magically grippy on exits. The weight is quite obvious but the shortish steering ratio hides it slightly. Cool to see Nob drive it, been watching hot version/best motoring for ages.

Understandable. Xiaomi's strategy is to make a very high-profile, talk-of-the-town entry to the market, and as much as it boost sales, it also amplifies any problems with this car. So if it were made oversteery, eventually some idiot who doesn't know how to correct for oversteer would be too confident and crash it. I mean, the SU7 is no BMW M4--it is still very much a utility vehicle, and many drivers with no track experience would buy it. And once it crashes, the media, who don't care about the truth, will blame Xiaomi rather than the driver. What gets more views than critisizing the talk of the town? So probably it was made to understeer just to be on the safe side.

It's undoubtedly a great car, but simple hate it since it's electric 😢
