That’s the way my grandma from south Dakota made the rooster pheasants I would shoot hear in N ca ,no dan os then but brown paper sack and buttermilk ,then mashed potatoes and gravy out of the drippings 👍

Man... I miss my granny , she just passed away like during the pandemic 2 almost 3 yrs ago now at the age of 88 , literally no food or recipe was ever once bad from her hands cuz i remember as a teen she used to stand almost 4-5 hours daily in the Kitchen just for Pre-lunch and Lunch servings only and that feast would otherwise atleast feed 8+ people daily depending if its the weekend or not.... Rip to all the great gram's out there 🌹
