Bizarre that the century-old witch got one of the best written romances in the game. I like how Alain and Yahna are simultaneously very confident in each other’s abilities, but also very compassionate and supportive of one another. There’s hardly any manufactured drama, no misunderstandings or hidden agendas. Just healthy communication between two people who seem to genuinely understand each other.

@@Nelland Helps Alain unlike his grandfather "wasn't MARRIED WITH A KID!" Alcina only ended up HURTING herself with letting that go as long as it did! No surprise Alain's grandmother and great-grandfather's wrath on her after his grandfather's death saving her was FIERCE, though not as much as her own survivor's guilt. And in a funny way a simple "having an antidote on hand" went A LONG WAY in changing a sad outcome. Though Yahna always had a chance with Alain even after that because you know again Alain is "NOT MARRIED WITH A KID!" It also helps that even with her age in mind (and for once NOT being a "Legal Loli" seriously I'm always HAPPY when female characters of ADVANCED AGE DON'T default to a 10 or under girl body but instead their teens/Early adulthood! And she was elderly enough that HODRICK and JOSEF were mere KIDS to her (and she STILL treats them as such DESPITE the fact she's in her young body when their the older ones now LOL) but Alain never met her or known of her other then her reputation! So there is no ick in their relationship (Alain's is a young man, he never known Yahna before, and he's the leader of an organization. She's older, but it's no different then she KNOWS more then he does! Plus it looks like she never really LIVED her younger years before she got old so these new things like "LOVE" are as new to her as they are Alain! So can't see her taking advantage of him like many people have listed as their reason for disliking age gap romances! So I found a RARE Age-Gap Romance I'm willing to ship)

I love how even before Alain starts fighting Galarius's take over Yahna calls to Alain first, meaning she ALREADY had faith in Alain before he even made his first blow of resistance, while most other romance options don't react to Galerius taking over Alain until AFTER Alain makes his first blow of resistance.

There's always one thing about Yahna that I thought was neat. She's voiced by the same person that did Flamie/Fremy Speeddraw in Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers. The kicker? It's the same VA in *BOTH* languages (Aoi Yuuki & Brianna Knickerbocker). I need a picture of Flamie in UO Witch attire, or Yahna with a rifle *STAT!*

@@Beresunablle I think it helps Alain NEVER MET Yahna when she was her "actual age" remember that the only one who mentions her old age was Hodrick who knew her when he was a child. Because he never met her before, he has no idea HOW she looked before and she isn't using a Glamor like Alcina likely was using since she really IS de-aged. She also doesn't really ACT her age mentally 100% sans with those who DID know her when SHE was an old woman like Josef and Hodrick! She likely rarely interacted much so her age isn't factored in. if you saying as your saying, Alain would only have to IMAGEN how she looked like with no real good idea at all! Well up till they reach old age together since the spell was a one time thing! But at that point what will it matter! And hey it's nice we DON'T get the usual "Legal Loli" shit (I do so like when the OLDER character DOESN'T Default to how they looked when they were 10 or under! Seriously if I could de-age from 37, I'd pick when I was 16-20. NOT 10) so I'm happy! (You'll be shocked that I grow BORED AND ANNOYED that they DEFAULT to this trope alot with de-aged characters! Seriously why not de-age to their PRIME young adult age! Why a CHILD!)
